The song opens with a vocal performance that is so bright and powerful that you can’t help but give the song your full attention. “Saturn” is a love song with a space theme that came to me after viewing Interstellar and witnessing the full moon while driving to work. Walsh composed it for someone who helps him stay grounded when he needs it most. One of the main lines in the song was really inspired by her moonwalking dance. Like the character in the song, Walsh describes how this person makes him feel through the lyrics(“You’re the one thing I need, I think I’m kinda stuck on your love”) and the passionate vocals
The song combines poignant lyrics, authentic NASA radio wave recordings from Saturn and Earth, and a melody that has a personal and cinematic feel. The storytelling and the song itself take listeners on this immersive experience of a beautiful love story
I’m so fortunate to have been introduced to Walsh and his music. From the song, you can tell that Walsh appreciates good narration and honest, and passionate songs. This song is proof of his artistry and dedication to his music. I loved this song and I look forward to hearing more music from Walsh
