Adam’s Cover three song EP, Metal Mario, published on June 5th, celebrates his two passions which are, gaming and music, Let’s talk more about this EP
The first song is “Super Mario bros Metal Theme”. This song is the theme song of the beloved game Mario bros but, with a rock twist. This rock element makes the song danceable and even more exciting. Imagine the theme of your favorite song but with a rocker element, this is what this song is. We appreciate Nelson for this cover, a cover that we can really get behind because of nostalgia
Next is the song “Super mario bros 2 metal theme”. This is also the theme song of the second version of the beloved game but with a rock twist. Listening to this song, I just had to close my eyes and I was a child again, holding my controller, trying to save Mario, and jumping high enough to grab power-ups. I loved this song because of how immersive it is and how it reminded me of the joys of jumping high enough to hit the bricks and jumping over obstacles and tunnels. I just had to close my eyes and the song took me there. This is the power of good music and a quality that all songs must try to strive for
The last song on the EP is “Super Mario Land Metal theme. The additions to this theme were also very thrilling and interesting. Like the other two songs, this song took me back to when the game was released and the day we had the chance to play it. I remember fighting with my brother over who would play first. The argument got heated and my mom stepped in. She made me go first and I failed that very first level miserably but, my brother didn’t laugh at me, he taught me how to play it and we played together. This is obviously a memory that I cherish and a memory I remembered because of this song. It was so beautiful and I got emotional listening to it. Again, a million thanks to Nelson for this phenomenal song
Adam Nelson recorded in his own strong home studio, pouring years of experience into perfecting it, even the cover art of the EP, gives listeners a visual representation of what the EP is. The EP turned out so well and he should be very proud of it. This EP is a wonderful mix of Nelson’s two passions: gaming and technology-based music creation. His ability to combine nostalgia with a new melodic metal sound distinguishes him as an original and distinctive musician in the music industry. The way I felt when listening to this EP is something I can’t really put in words, you would have to listen to it and understand how I felt. Nelson is a groundbreaking artist and I can’t wait to hear more music from him
