Greetings to all my most cherished readers and music lovers, let’s welcome EVAN DE ROEPER to our blog. Evan de Roeper, a self-made musician from London, England, released his latest Original EP, “May: 21-26”, a six-song EP, which demonstrates his outstanding talent as a songwriter and producer. Let’s take a closer look at this EP

The title track is called “Ground Zero”. The song opens with a bold yet soft piano melody before the beat drops and the vocal performance begins. The song introduces us to a very confident character who is trying to woo a lady. (”and listen to my words”). He tells her his criteria, gets vulnerable with her, and assures her that when he’s given the chance, he will treat her like she deserves. The vocal performance is beautiful and the beat is very foot-tapping. This wonderful song opens the EP

“Howl” is the next song on the EP. The song opens with a very soft melody. The song illustrates a person who is going through something but, she is afraid to let anyone in. Her partner tells her that, he knows something is bothering her and, he lets her know that, whatever she’s going through, she doesn’t have to go through it alone, he promises to shoulder her burden and pain with her, only if she allows him (”I can’t hear your howl, I don’t know how to let you know that you’re not on your own”). On the other point of view, sometimes, you go through something you can’t quite explain and you feel like no one will understand you so, instead of sharing, you keep it to yourself. The good news is that this song is a reminder that whatever you have going on, you can ask for help or you can allow yourself to be helped. The theme of this song is profound and the vocal performance was just stunning

The third song on this EP is “haste”. The intro of this song is a heavenly sound before the beat drops. This song can be looked at through two lenses. The first is, literal, the use of car sounds and driving sounds lets you know that this song, is telling you not to be hasty when driving because of road accidents. Seeing as the artist is a fan of the Weeknd, it is not surprising that he is using his platform to talk about road safety, like in “Blinding Lights”.(” Moonlight is what is guiding you, don’t act in haste”). On the other hand, this song can be metaphorical, telling you to be cautious in decision-making generally, in life. Whether it is literal or metaphorical, the song just warns us about being hasty. The instrumentation on this song is incredible and the vocal performance was perfection

Up next is the song “King”. The song opens with a ridiculously beautiful piano melody in the intro. This song is so emotive as the artist sings about being heard and being voiceless. This song was beautiful. I mean the melody and the harmonies were something that seemed to have fallen from heaven and oh that stringed solo, it was so spectacular This was an unforgettable experience

“Sayonara” is the next song on this EP. The song opens with a laugh recording of a woman. As the song continues, it seems like we have been dragged into the middle of a nasty argument. This is followed by a very emotive piano performance, and this piano piece brought tears to my eyes and sent shivers down my spine. Music that speaks for itself is unmatched in every way. This song was so ethereal and heavenly and the song ends on a hopeful note as the couple who were fighting in the beginning, apologize to each other and make up. This song was just something legendary that I will not forget anytime soon

The last song on the EP is “Dual”. The song opens with another stunning piano melody that is very striking. The song was so effortlessly charming and delightful. This emotive song touched me deeply and I know it will touch you too. This fantastic song brings the EP to a close

By incorporating Foley sounds into the mix, this artist lends a unique texture to each track, improving the narrative of the songs. Evan welcomes listeners into his world with songs like ‘Howl’, ‘Haste’, and ‘Ground Zero’, where he shares personal stories and deep emotions. This EP not only demonstrates Evan’s musical abilities but also his tenacity and determination as an independent artist. Experience the raw brilliance and sincerity of Evan de Roeper’s music “May: 21-26”, is a release that is guaranteed to resonate with audiences worldwide. I can’t wait to hear more music from him
