Greetings dearest gentle readers and music fans, let’s welcome Australian artist GOLEM DANCE CULT back to our blog. Golem Dance Cult is a two-piece band made up of Charles Why (Losta Noise/Nexus/DOPA) and Laur (Sparkling Bombs / Kevin K Band/ Vague Scare/ Other-ed). The band came about as a project of these two old friends. Their album “Legend of the Bleeding Heart” took me on a compelling musical trip. On 13th June, they released a song and its video called “Call of the Wendigo”, let’s talk more about it.

The song opens with a lively and foot-tapping melody that is infectious instantly and the video talks about some kind of monster called a wendigo. The band members in the video all have masks on. The video also shows something like a gathering of indigenous people. The video cuts back and forth between the band members who are seen playing their instruments perfectly and passionately

The music video was directed was Klaus Karloff and the camera work was by Laur and Nick O’Mok. The camera lighting was done by Thomas WinKurti. The song featured Laur and Charles on vocals, bass by Why, Peter M on drums, and Petulant Clark on guitar. The extracts in the video were from the Outlaw, Night of the Living Dead, and Buffalo

The band strikes again and it’s pure gold!. The band went all out to give viewers a visual treat. The video was dark, and we the fans got to see the vision of the band for the song in this video. I loved this song because it shocked me and that is what music and art are supposed to do, it is supposed to shock you. I look forward to hearing more music from the band
