BABY T BRINGS THE HEAT AND STREET GRIT WITH HIS ALBUM “40”

No Comments Music

Hello, all music lovers and my cherished readers. Let’s welcome Chi-town native Baby T back to my blog. Hip-hop artist BABY T is on the rise, and his album The Prodigal Son, which blends the classic styles of Jay-Z and LL Cool J with a lyrical knowledge reminiscent of Kendrick Lamar, is a collection of songs that are still fascinating listeners. He returns with another album called “40”. The eleven-song album was released on 29th August. Let’s talk more about the album.

The first song on the album is titled “Legacy (Prelude)”. The song features artist DJ Pain 1. The song goes straight into the rap. The character in the song talks about building a legacy. A monument of his talent and his hard work. He talks about how hard he has worked to get to that status of even leaving behind a legacy at all. The rap flow and energy were unmatched, and listeners will really enjoy this opening song because it’s a banger.

“Things about to change” is the second song on the album. This song features the artist Fruit Vender. The song opens with a thumping beat that will definitely catch your attention. In this song, the artist talks about how the rap scene changed when he got on the scene. This song really screams “the revolution will be televised”. The rap was crisp, and the beat was very catchy. I felt really lucky to join the artists on this revolution, and I can guarantee that you will feel the same.

Next up is “Through the Fire”. The song introduces listeners to a character who lets us know how he has really been through the wringer to get to where he is. It is important to recognize where we started from to really realize how far we have come, and this song is an embodiment of it. The song was profound and very exciting. This is another hit on this album that listeners will really enjoy.

“Dem Ones” is the next song on this album. The song features artist Zenyth. The song opens with a patois line that listeners will thoroughly enjoy. The song lets us know that the character in the song is the chosen one, a tie breather and innovator of sorts. The confidence this character has is the type of attitude and confidence that we all strive for. This song made me feel a little more special, and as you listen to this song, you will feel like you are part of the “dem ones” team.

Up next is a song called “Greed”. The song opens with an exciting beat. The song mentions that the love of money is the root of all evil. Greed is a vice that we need to do away with. The rap is straightforward and clear-cut. I appreciate Baby T for this message that we should never forget.

Up next is a song called “Bless Up”. This song also features artist Zenyth. Like the song “dem ones”, this song also opens with a reggae-fused melody. The song encourages us to spread love and positivity wherever we go. The world can always stand for more peace, more love, and more unity. This song reminds us of that important duty we are all charged with as human beings. The song had this reggae flavor that was very delicious and quite exciting.

“Old soul” is what the next song is called. This song opens with a lovely melody that listeners will drool over. The character in the song lets us know that he’s an old soul. Some young people have old souls. This can be seen in their fashion choices and other lifestyle choices. The lyrics of the song are easy to follow and very catchy. This is yet another hit on this album that you can’t afford to miss.

The next song on the album is called “Sketch Pad”. The song goes right into the rap performance. The song takes us down memory lane with the character in the song. This song is like “Wet Dreamz”, a song from J Cole’s 2014 album “Forest Hills Drive”. But unlike J Cole’s album, this song features more of the character’s start in the rap game. The song takes us back to the moment when he started writing the rap songs and rap verses. Through this song, we know that the artist was born with the talent for free-flowing raps, and his own game was something he was born with. Aside from the fact that we connect more with him through this song, it is a song that fits so many vibes at the same time, and cannot be put in a box, and can be labeled as one size fits all.

“What it is “ is the next song on the album. The song goes right into the performance. We meet a character who takes pride in the fact that he never forces people to be in his life and doesn’t stop them when they want to leave. I feel like this is a mentality that we should adopt; that way, we know that the people in our lives really want to be in it and deserve to be in it. Adopting this lets us trim the fat in our lives and cut hypocritical people out of our lives. Musically, the rap was as perfect as always, and Baby T brought the vulnerability and power to this song as always.

The next song is called “Hip-Hop Prayer”. The song goes into the performance right away. The character in the song says a prayer to hip hop, detailing the changes that have happened in the game. Like any other thing in the world, change comes with its fair share of problems, and one change in the hip hop game will be everyone being a critic and comparing rappers to other rappers, pitting each other against each other. The song had some great Kanye vibe to it, and I just had it on repeat to hear those bars over and over again because it was so good!

“Be There” is the concluding song on the album. The song opens with a beautiful melody. In the song, the character asks his partner if she will be there for him, protect, care for him love him. These requirements are the bare minimum people should expect in a romantic relationship. After listing these requirements, the character then tells us that his partner is a ride-or-die person who is always there for him. This song ends the album in a magnificent and unforgettable high.

This 11-track cinematic trip combines modern production and cultural pride with traditional lyrics, street grit, and Caribbean soul. This is hip-hop with a pulse, anchored by “Things About To Change,” “Greed,” and “Dem Ones.” All the featured artists pulled their weight and worked very well together with Baby T. This is yet another album by Baby T that I will never forget anytime soon. I just cannot wait to hear more music from him!
