We are extending the metaphorical red carpet to none other than Danny Hammons, a folk sensation who has been rising steadily with an authenticity that is as real as the earth beneath the feet of a traveling minstrel. I reviewed his EP “Take The Long Way Home” and I must say, there was not a single skip on this EP, every song had a point of view and was very entertaining as well. It was the perfect balance of profundity and amusement . He has just given us a brand-new reason to grab our headphones as he released his latest single, “Back To Colorado,” which officially dropped on October 4th. This song is a lesson in how to do folk music right, so grab your bags and leave the city sounds behind as we take a journey into the high-altitude heart of Danny’s latest offering!

Buckle up, because “Back To Colorado” kicks off with an upbeat melody so inviting it practically holds the car door open for you. This beautiful intro is not just upbeat and positive from the very first note but, listeners can hear Danny’s voice and after hearing him, you would be on your knees, begging to hear the rest of the song

Every time I listen to this song,  it sounds fresh and its meaning can never be lost on me. Like I said in my first review of this song, If a trip to the Rockies isn’t in your immediate budget, don’t worry, this song is the ultimate sonic shortcut because of it’s rich lyrical content. This song has managed to hold it’s even though it was released two plus years ago, that alone is proof that this song is good and it isn’t going anywhere, anytime soon!
