DEBRA CAN BRINGS THE VIBES AND THE PARTY TO WITH HER LATEST TRACK “HAPPY”

Now, let’s get down to business by focusing on the incomparably gifted Debra Can, who hails from the city of Lagos, Nigeria. As a rapidly ascending star in today’s music scene, she manages to bridge the divide between energetic Afro-pop and resilient soul, creating a sound that is both deliberate and contagious. With her new original song entitled “Happy,” which premiered on April 17th, she brings the same spirit of celebration to us through her powerful and joyful music that transforms the struggles of life into rhythmic tunes. This song will definitely get us in the mood for celebration! Let’s examine its components.

This song starts with a powerful rhythm of the heart, a beat you cannot possibly miss. The first reaction was a natural tapping of the feet that soon evolved into a rhythmic nodding of the head until I found myself dancing to the beat of the music. Such a magical feeling from the opening of a song is rare, and that was what convinced me that this track was worth every single moment of it. With such a powerful introduction, one can only imagine how amazing the rest of the ride would be.

“Happy” is a contagious, vibrant song that exudes energy and is a perfect example of the Afrobeat genre, having been composed to get people on their feet and grooving on the dance floor. Having been inspired by the vibrant energy and warmth found on the sunny streets of Lagos, the song is rich in rhythms as syncopated beats form a base upon which brass instruments play the melody line, giving the song a feel that represents true joy. This piece tells the story of someone who is experiencing her best days yet, a period where all the drama and stress is left behind, as she thrives and builds up her empire while enjoying each passing second through rose colored lenses

The creation of “Happy” is a perfect example of the power-packed sound of Afrobeat, serving as a great demonstration of the natural talent of Debra Can to create music that not only plays in the background but makes people move in front of their speakers. The music structure is based on complex syncopation, creating the impression of the never-ending heartbeat of Lagos, which is complemented by the uplifting sounds of the brass ensemble, conveying a certain spiritual euphoria. It is like an injection of adrenaline and sunlight, ready to be played endlessly on radio stations such as “African Heat” or “Afro Party Anthem”.

The artistry of the visuals for “Happy” is an example of true synergy, showing that even without a music video, you can deliver a compelling vision to your audience. Cover art for songs is a literal testament to the saying that “a picture paints a thousand words,” as this piece features Debra with an infectious smile on her face, trying to grab her sunglasses in between laughter. “HAPPY,” the name of the song, is prominently featured in large letters in a colorful font which adds up to a visually appealing aspect, while in the background, several dancers raising their hands create the same kind of mood conveyed by the song. All of the above-mentioned elements come together beautifully, creating a cohesive whole where everything works together. This is no ordinary piece of artwork; this is the finishing touch on a song  that makes you immediately understand what Debra’s all about and that she put a lot of thought into making this track

In the end, “Happy” becomes more than just a piece of music; it is a very important, energetic manifesto of our time. In a world that seems increasingly polarized and burdened by its complexities, it is easy for people to forget their right to simply relax and enjoy themselves. This track offers a much-needed respite from the stress of everyday life and reminds you that there will always be a chance to reclaim your happiness no matter how far away it might seem. It is an anthem of those rare and precious times when one experiences pure freedom. Immersing oneself into this music has become a truly rejuvenating experience for me. I only have one thing to say, Debra, where is the party at??, please involve me, I want to party with you!!
