Her newest creation of hers was released on September 23rd, and it’s an astonishing nine-track masterpiece entitled EMA. For those of us who have been in awe of her talent all these years, it’s a masterpiece that serves as the apotheosis of her artistic path, and every melody invites us into her amazing world. “Be A Seeker, Believer” is the first song on the album and comes alive with a vibrant, ethereal vintage futuristic heartbeat, eighties synth arpeggios glitter in an endless loop along with a deep and heavy bassline that gets locked into a buoyant and catchy groove before being overtaken by percussive sounds of electronic beats. Thematically speaking, the song serves as an inspiring manifesto of the traveling soul, dealing with the struggles of living in an unpredictable world and encouraging the listener to take care of their optimism and faith. Created around themes of resilience and self-belief, the lead single “Be A Seeker, Believer” highlights

It is centered on the spiritual vibes and melodies of Japanese wooden votive plaques intended for praying to the God, and the lyrics become a deep introspection about cleansing the mind from chaos and sending pure thoughts to the universe. SIENNÁ treats her performance as a spiritual ritual when she surrounds her hushed and closely mic’d lead vocals with lush reverb-filled choral harmonies resembling a prayer chant. As for the instruments, they remain minimalistic when organic synths are combined with rhythmic pulses. It is really hard not to feel the state of profound stillness while listening to this song and immersing the mind into the meditative trance.
The cinematic and grand “Aenaria” kicks off with a majestic and slowly swelling sweep of a piano melody and synthetic strings that soar and flow like ocean tides over gentle and shimmering ambient textures. Inspired by the ancient Roman town of the same name that lays at the bottom of the sea near the Island of Ischia, the track employs its underwater theme to address the concepts of emotional depth, unfulfilled devotion, and the sad splendor of finding wonderful light in someone who’s blind to their own light. Musically speaking, SIENNÁ employs her voice as yet another piece of her orchestral ensemble and allows her voice to float high notes in the register over elaborate and symphonic electronic arrangements and sub-bass elements. It affects the listener with overwhelmingly beautiful sadness.
The sudden sensory shock,369(Miroku)”, disturbs the peace with its strong, low-pitch bass like sound , industrial distortion, and a high-frequency synth sound that invades the speakers. The track’s theme is derived from the idea of Maitreya and spiritual metamorphosis; the lyrics compel the listener to forsake comfort, to accept the difficult inner change, and to destroy one’s habits in order for true rebirth to take place. SIENNÁ mixes delicate and intense lyrics in the verses with explosive multi-layered choruses against the backdrop of crunchy electronic sounds, distorted bass synthesizers, and aggressive drum beats. The effect leaves the listener feeling charged with energy that breaks down the mental exhaustion and ignites an audacious determination to overcome oneself.
Liberated from the burden of industry, “Finding Inner Sanctuary” begins with an exhilarating, nostalgic synth arpeggio that bounces between the left and right channels above airy, breathing ambient pads.
