Hello to all my dear readers and music aficionados. Please welcome Swiss singer Alex Wellkers. On August 22nd, he released the 13-song album “Reach the Stars”. Allow me to lead you through each song and deconstruct it to get to the gooey, delectable insides.
The album’s first song is titled “We knew it all”. The song begins with a gentle melody before the tempo drops. In terms of theme, the song discusses how we spend our lives searching for something that will satisfy us. ( “searching for gratification” ). It also discusses how external factors may make or ruin a person. Musically, the vocal performance and the guitar solo were both stunning. This song opens the record well.
“Bring Me the Keys” is the album’s following track. The song begins with a lovely vocal performance before the beat drops, leaving you mesmerized. The song depicts a relationship in which the male feels he has put his best foot forward but is still forgotten and neglected (“when I compromise, you start to complain”). The character tells us that he is going to leave her since being with her has changed him into someone he doesn’t recognize. The song discusses the numerous complications of relationships. Musically, the vocal performance was beautiful, and the violin sounds were magnificent.
“See me there” is the album’s following track. The song begins with a beautiful piano sound. The lyrics (“fighting to survive”) reveal that the character in the song is doing everything he can to survive. This song is certainly another fantastic performance that audiences will like.
“Desert Island” comes next. The song begins with a stunning glacial violin and piano tune. The song is about a character who is stuck on an island alone and becomes insane due to loneliness. We aren’t sure how this figure ended up there, but we do know he or she is entirely alone and can’t take it longer. The vocal performance conveys how needy this individual is and how he or she requires immediate company. This was an enjoyable tune.
The song that follows is called “There is Cars”. The song opens with gorgeous stringed instruments. The song depicts a character who appears to have left Massachusetts and is on his journey to California, and he tells us what he sees along the road. The inclusion of a guitar solo in the middle of the song is a pleasant surprise, and this is yet another hit on the album.
The following song on the record is “Alles nicht so schlimm”. The song is not in English, but guess what? Yes, that was a lot of fun to listen to and enjoy. This song is proof that good music does not require translation. It’s a vibe you get, like the one I had with this music. This song is yet another treasure from this album.
The following track is “Tu Es ici”. This song is generally translated as “you are here” in English. The song commences with a fascinating flute-like melody. The vocal performance and instrumentation were very outstanding. This is just another hit from the bilingual musician!
The following song on this album is titled “She Will Say”. This song embraces the rock genre right from the beginning. The rap-like performance made the song a thousand times better. This song was a huge surprise given the album’s previous genres. It was a terrific show with a perfect performance, particularly the bass at the end.
The following track on the album is “The Key”. The song begins with a killer guitar sound before the drums are added. The song encourages us to embrace moderation in our lives. ( “moderation is the key” ) We appreciate this life lesson, and we thank the artist for sharing it with us in such a colorful manner!
The song that follows is titled “Mystic Saint”. This song likewise begins with a killer melody that is quite fascinating. The song discusses how we should never back down from a challenge or hard work in life because, in order to succeed, we must work hard and be content with what we have rather than desiring someone else’s life (“satisfaction is far away”). This was a foot-tapping song with a catchy rhythm, certain to have you dancing.
The following song is titled “What are you searching for?” The song begins with a great funky bass and drum beat. The song is about disobedience and creating your own way. The vocal rendition and the musicianship were both flawless and delightful.
The 12th song is called “Now the Pages Have Been Turned”. The song begins with a country blues melody and atmosphere. The song is about a romance that has ended and the consequences. He tells her that she can’t control him anymore. The music felt stripped-down, allowing listeners to hear the entire range of the artist’s voice, which was incredibly wonderful.
The closing song is called “Au revoir”. The song starts with a sorrowful stringed instrument tune. The song’s title translates to “goodbye” in French. In this song, the character informs his sweetheart that he is tired of her attitude and that she is free to leave, and he bids her farewell. (“You lied”). The vocal performance and orchestration effectively emphasize the song’s premise, which is divine. This lovely tune concludes the album.
This album has dramatic rock and pop songs with classical instruments such as strings and harps, as well as rocky vocals, piano, and guitar tracks. Alex demonstrated his versatility as an artist in each of his songs. I enjoyed this album and I’ll be on the edge of my seat, eager for new songs from him.
