Jackman. Thomas Harlow is an American rapper, singer, and actor who was born on March 13, 1998. Numerous organisations have nominated him for multiple awards, including Top New Artist in the 2021 Billboard Music Awards.He was listed in Forbes 30 Under 30 and awarded Variety’s “Hitmaker of the Year” in the same year.His career began in 2015 with the release of multiple EPs and mixtapes. He was born and raised in Louisville, Kentucky, and in 2018 he was signed to Don Cannon and DJ Drama’s record label Generation Now, an Atlantic Records brand.


Jackman Thomas Harlow was born on March 13, 1998, in Louisville, Kentucky He is the son of Maggie (née Payette), a businesswoman, and Brian Harlow, and was raised on a horse farm near Shelbyville He has one younger brother, Clayborn Harlow. He is of French and Irish descent.

Harlow moved from Shelbyville to Louisville with his family as a child and began rapping at age 12. He and his friend Copelan Garvey used a  Guitar Hero microphone and a laptop to record rhymes and songs. They made a CD, Rippin’ and Rappin, and sold copies at their school, Highland Middle School.When he was in seventh grade, Harlow acquired a professional microphone and made his first mixtape, Extra Credit, using the moniker Mr. Harlow. He formed a collective, Moose Gang, with various friends; during this time, he worked on two mixtapes that were ultimately never released, Moose Gang and Music for the Deaf.He attended Atherton High School where he played on the boys’ varsity soccer team.


The Handsome Harlow, an EP, was Harlow’s debut commercial release and it came out in November 2015. Gill Holland’s sonaBLAST! record label distributed it.He frequently performed at sold-out events at Louisville locations like Mercury Ballroom, Headliners, and the Haymarket Whisky Bar during his high school career.He served as Vince Staples’ opening act in Louisville in March 2016.

Less than a month following his Atherton High School graduation, in June 2016, he dropped the mixtape 18, the debut album on his label and music collective, Private Garden. The group also includes the Homies, a group of rappers and producers from Louisville named Ace Pro, 2forWoyne, Shloob, Quiiso, and Ronnie Lucciano, who are often partners with Harlow.Harlow gave performances at Forecastle Festival, South by Southwest, and Bonnaroo Music Festival during the course of the next year.

The single “Routine” by Harlow was released in the summer of 2017.He also released a music video for his other single, “Dark Knight,” in October of that same year. He gives credit to Cyhi the Prynce for helping him overcome writer’s block and complete the song.When Harlow’s mixtape Gazebo was released in November 2017, “Dark Knight” was the lead song.Harlow promoted the record with a 14-city Gazebo Tour.

Whats Poppin” is the lead song from Harlow’s second extended play (EP), Sweet Action, which was released on January 21, 2020.The song received a lot of exposure on the social media site TikTok, where Cole Bennett made the music video, which as of May 2021 had received over 135 million views. The EP was released on March 13, 2020, Harlow’s 22nd birthday.In 2020 April 29 was the release of Harlow and G-Eazy’s joint song, “Moana”. Harlow released the remix of “Whats Poppin” on June 24, 2020. Lil Wayne, Tory Lanez, and DaBaby are featured.

Harlow used his social media platforms on April 26, 2023, to reveal the cover art and announce the release date of his upcoming album, Jackman. On April 28, the album was made available.After garnering 35,500 album-equivalent units in its first week, it debuted at number eight on the US Billboard 200.It was Harlow’s third album to debut in the US top ten. In the first week, it recorded 43.40 million on-demand streaming as well. Additionally, Jackman made his third top ten debut on the Canadian Album Chart, debuting at number 9
