Born on December 14, 1991, Stephanie Victoria Allen is a British rapper and vocalist better known by her stage name, Stefflon Don. Her hit song “Hurtin’ Me” with French Montana, which reached at number 7 on the UK Singles Chart in 2017, helped her become well-known. Allen’s first mixtape, Real Ting, was published in 2016. She followed it up with Secure in 2018.


Stefflon Don is a Jamaican-born rapper.The rapper Dutchavelli is one of her seven siblings. Allen’s family relocated to Rotterdam, Netherlands, when she was five years old, thus she speaks Dutch fluently.Since elementary school, she has been writing and performing music. She recorded a “Hard Knock Life” hook for rapper U-Niq when she was nine years old. Though Allen was taken aback upon hearing her voice on the playback, the song was never released.She came back to Britain at the age of 14 to attend school in London. Prior to beginning her musical career, she worked as a hairdresser and cake decorator.


After releasing a rendition of Wretch 32’s “6 Words” in 2015, Don gained recognition by appearing on songs including “Wobble” by Lethal Bizzle, “Work” remix by Sneakbo, “Hop On” by Angel, and “Touch Down” by KSI from 2016, which is featured on the soundtrack of the 2017 movie Baywatch.The song “Fashion Killa (Papapapa)” by Mason was composed by Stefflon Don and Mason (Iason Chronis), and it was released on August 16, 2016. Don debuted on an American song for the first time, appearing on Jeremih’s “London” track.She then made an appearance on Lil Yachty’s “Better” off the album Teenage Emotions. Don released her debut mixtape, Real Ting, on December 16, 2016.

From her debut EP, Hurtin’ Me The EP, she released the lead single “Hurtin’ Me” with French Montana on August 15, 2017. The EP peaked at number 7 on the UK Singles Chart. Later, on January 12, 2018, the EP was made available. Don won the 2017 MOBO Awards’ Best Female category on November 29.

Along with American rapper Big Sean, Don was featured on the remix of Halsey’s song “Alone” in March 2018. The song became her maiden entry on the list and gave Don her first number one Dance Club Song when it peaked at number 66 on the Billboard Hot 100. April 6, 2018, saw the debut of the music video. The remix of Mariah Carey’s song “A No No” from her 2018 album Caution included Don in March 2019.

Don was a member of the XXL Freshman Class in June 2018. Don released her second mixtape, Secure, on August 17, 2018.In She and Wiley worked together on the song “Boasty” in March 2019. In July 2019, she contributed vocals to the posthumous song “Royalty” by XXXTentacion. Along with Anne-Marie, Little Mix, Raye, and Becky Hill, Don was featured on a Kiss My (Uh Oh) Girl Power Remix on August 25, 2021.

She gave birth to her first child, a son named Jaylen, at 17 years old.
