Natasha Tameika Cobbs Leonard is an American gospel artist and composer who was born on July 7, 1981. The successful lead track “Break Every Chain” from her extended album titled “Grace”.


In Jesup, Georgia, on July 7, 1981, Natasha Tameika Cobbswas born. Her parents are Pastor Bertha Cobbs and Bishop Fritz Cobbs (1954–2014).She began leading worship at her father’s ministry, Jesup New Life Ministries.


Her self-released album Smile marked the beginning of her solo career in 2010. Grace, her EP, was published on February 5, 2013, when EMI Gospel (now Motown Gospel) became interested in the record. This was ranked No. 2 on the Top Gospel Albums chart and No. 61 on the Billboard 200 lists.

Later, the EP peaked at number one on the Top Gospel Albums list.In the Hot Gospel Songs charts, the tracks “Break Every Chain” and “For Your Glory” also peaked at number one.Tasha Cobbs won her first Grammy in 2014 when she won Best Gospel/Contemporary Christian Music Performance at the 56th Annual Grammy Awards. At the 44th GMA Dove Awards, Cobbs also took home the Gospel Performance of the Year and Contemporary Gospel/Urban Song (and Album) of the Year awards. At the 46th GMA Dove Awards in 2015, Cobbs received the Gospel Artist of the Year honour.

She tied the knot with her longtime boyfriend, music producer Kenneth Leonard, on March 3, 2017, in a private ceremony surrounded by loved ones.Asher, a son, was adopted by her in July 2021.
