Born on July 30, 1999, Joey Lynn King is an American actress. Her portrayal as Ramona Quimby in the comedy film Ramona and Beezus (2010) brought her fame, and she went on to play a major role in The Kissing Booth (2018) and its two sequels, which brought her even more fame.King won praise from critics for her lead performance in the 2019 crime drama series The Act, for which she was a Primetime Emmy Award and Golden Globe nominee

EARLY LIFE AND EDUCATION

On July 30, 1999, King was born in Los Angeles, California to parents Terry and Jamie King.At the age of four, King made his stage debut in a Life Cereal commercial.She has additionally appeared in advertisements for AT&T, Eggo, and Kay Jewellers. King went to Simi Valley’s Phoenix Ranch School.King performed a cappella in a talent show at the Simi Valley Cultural Arts Centre when he was younger.She also gave a performance with Agoura’s Stage Door Children’s Theatre.

CAREER

King provided the voice of Katie, the yellow fur ball, in the 2008 animated film Horton Hears a Who. She was in Quarantine (2008) as well. She had an appearance as a guest star on Ghost Whisperer in 2010. In two episodes of The Suite Life of Zack & Cody, she played Emily Mason. Extra appearances on television include Life in Pieces, Medium, CSI: Crime Scene Investigation, and Entourage.

King portrayed a girl named Kirsten in the Battle: Los Angeles series. She costarred in Crazy, Stupid, Love, which came out in 2011. Additionally, she portrayed a young student who was shunned by her friends in the school cafeteria in Taylor Swift’s “Mean” music video.King played a teenage Talia al Ghul in Christopher Nolan’s third Batman movie, The Dark Knight Rises (2012).In addition, she appeared in guest roles on New Girl, Bent, and the last episode of The Haunting Hour: The Series, “Goodwill Towards Men.” King starred in White House Down, The Conjuring, Family Weekend, and Oz the Great and Powerful in 2013. In the teen romance comedy The Kissing Booth on Netflix, she played the role of Elle Evans in 2018.In the 2020 follow-up The Kissing Booth 2 and the August 11, 2021 release of The Kissing Booth 3, she played the same role again.She had a starring role in the Hulu original true crime anthology series The Act in 2019. King had to shave her head for the third time in her career when she was cast as Gipsy Rose Blanchard.She received nods for the Critics’ Choice, SAG, Emmy, and Golden Globe awards as a result. Additionally, she played Morgan in the fourth season of the CBS comedy Life in Pieces.

After meeting on the set of The Act, King started dating producer and director Steven Piet in September 2019; the two were engaged in February 2022. On September 3, 2023, King and Piet tied the knot in Mallorca, Spain.
