American actor Michael Rainey Jr. was born on September 22, 2000. He gained notoriety for playing Tariq St. Patrick in Power and Power Book II: Ghost. In addition, he played Jalen in Barbershop: The Next Cut and Michael Burset in Orange Is the New Black.

EARLY LIFE AND EDUCATION

Rainey Jr. was born in Louisville, Kentucky, the son of Michael Rainey Sr. and Shauna Small. He is descended from Jamaica via his mother. Since he was a little child, Rainey Jr. has been raised in Staten Island, New York, where his father resides. His mother homeschooled him when he was younger, and as he got older, he gained notoriety for the several automobiles he had. His sense of style is still highly regarded, both on and off screen. Rainey Jr. is a supporter of “Find and Feed,” a homeless care organisation with headquarters in Indiana.

At the age of ten, Rainey Jr. made his film debut in Un Altro Mundo. Rainey Jr. and Power co-star Gianni Paolo founded Twenty Two Entertainment in March 2022. The Crew Has It, a self-hosted podcast, is the first undertaking. Kenan Thompson and John Ryan Jr. founded Artists For Artists in December 2021, and it provides all of the funding for Twenty Two Entertainment.
