Born on December 1, 1988[1], Zoë Isabella Kravitz is an American model, singer, and actor. In the romantic comedy film No Reservations (2007), she made her acting debut. Her breakthrough performance was as Angel Salvadore in the 2011 superhero movie X-Men: First Class, for which she was nominated for a Scream Award and a Teen Choice Award. She gained popularity as Leta Lestrange in the Fantastic Beasts film series (2016–2018) and Christina in The Divergent Series (2014–2016).

EARLY LIFE AND EDUCATION

Actress Lisa Bonet and musician Lenny Kravitz welcomed Kravitz into the world in their Venice, Los Angeles, home on March 1, 2001.Her parents are of mixed Jewish and African American heritage.Her maternal grandpa, Allen Bonet, was African American, and her paternal grandmother, actress Roxie Roker (a first cousin once removed from television weather forecaster Al Roker), was also from The Bahamas.

When Zoë was five years old in 1993, Kravitz’s parents got divorced, ending their marriage six years after it began.At the age of eleven, she went to Miami to live with her father, spending the summers with her mother, after growing up in Topanga Canyon.Reference From her mother’s second marriage to actor Jason Momoa, Kravitz has two half-siblings, Marisa Tomei and Cree Summer are her godmothers, while Bruce Cohen, a film producer, is her godfather.

Kravitz graduated in 2007 from Manhattan’s Rudolf Steiner School and Miami Country Day School. That year, Kravitz started attending the State University of New York at Purchase’s acting academy, where she studied with Micah Stock and Jason Ralph among her contemporaries, under the tutelage of Scott McCrea.After a year, she dropped out of college to pursue a career in filmmaking in Brooklyn, New York.

CAREER

In the 2007 romance comedy No Reservations, Kravitz played a babysitter employed by Catherine Zeta-Jones’s character, landing her first movie role while still a high school student. She also made an appearance in the action movie The Brave One that same year. In 2008, Kravitz supported US presidential contender Barack Obama by performing in the music videos for the songs “I Know” by Jay Z and “We Are the Ones” by will.i.am.Reference She also starred in the neo noir comedy Assassination of a High School President and the family drama Birds of America in the same year.

Kravitz played Bonnie Carlson in the HBO drama series Big Little Lies from 2017 to 2019. For her work, the actress was nominated for two Black Reel Award nominations and one Screen Actors Guild Award nomination for Outstanding Performance by a Cast in a Drama Series. Kravitz made a larger appearance in the science fiction action movie Kin (2018) and returned to the part of Leta Lestrange in Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald.

In the live-action film The Batman, directed by Matt Reeves and released on March 4, 2022, Kravitz played Selina Kyle/Catwoman. The film was a critical and commercial triumph, earning over $700 million worldwide. Reviews of Kravitz’s performance were favourable.

In June 2021, Kravitz said that she would be directing Pussy Island, a movie that she also co-wrote.The coming-of-age animated series Phatty Patty, funded by Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith’s Westbrook Studios, will star Kravitz and have her on as an executive producer, it was reported in August 2021.It was revealed in June 2022 that Kravitz would both star in and produce Warner Bros.’ heist film The Sundance Kid Might Have Some
