Greetings to all my beloved readers and music fans. Today we take a look at the work of Valvet. Valvet is a rising alt-rock band from Sweden, combining contemplative indie with cinematic, anthemic rock. On 27th June, they released a song called “Mountains”. Let’s talk more about it.
The song opens with a dreamy and beautiful guitar melody. It is soft, intricate, and extremely captivating. The song explores inner anguish and the yearning for calm. The character in the song desires calm and peace like the theme of the song and, to get this, the character heads to this special place which is the mountains for him(”chaos in the wind; where I find my peace”) Aside this it also explores themes of Journey, Escape, Transformation and ambiguity, Mortality, and surrender Dreamlike exploring.
The world we are in is chaotic enough, and it is important to have a place we can go to so we can unwind away from everything. The song has beautiful and haunting guitar riffs, surreal textures, and an explosive release. The song just looked right into my soul and it was just so glorious
The band evolved from late-night jam sessions to a powerful four-piece known for emotionally charged, guitar-driven songs with cinematic depth. They have worked hard and upgraded their craft and this song is the proof of it. I loved every moment of it and I can’t wait to hear more music
