Greetings to all my readers and music lovers. Let’s welcome the American band Blueprint Tokyo.” Neon Circuits and the Mission of Hope” is the new album by Blueprint Tokyo. Released on 30th May, The 16-song album covers themes of interconnection, resilience, and dedication to change. Let’s talk more about it
“Say Anything” is the title of the first song on the album. The song opens with a very nice melody. In this song, the character is desperate to keep his relationship in one piece. (“Keep the fire”). He is trying to convince his partner just to say anything, anything that will make him feel like their relationship has a fighting chance. The desperation in the vocal performance was so captivating and exciting to enjoy. This song sets a very good tone for the album and lets listeners know that they are about to go on a magical Musical Adventure.
Next up is a song called “Replicants”. This song opens with a very upbeat instrumentation that will pique your interest there and then. This song is about a character who is trying to communicate something deep but is unable to(“I know you were there, right here in front of me “). This song was super fun and the guitar solo was mind-blowing. This song is very enjoyable from the beginning to the end
Up next is the song “Take My Breath”. The song opens with a retro 80s synth-pop sound that was very very nice. The song illustrates a character who is telling his lover to get close to him and take his breath away. There is a musical element that will take you by surprise and it’s the sax. A sax sound has no business in this genre of music but it works, it works and you will be blown away by it like I was blown away by it
“A whole new life” is the title of the next track. The song opens with a fusion of conversing voices. The character in the song is a person who has gone to a place where he doesn’t have access to his lover, but even though they are apart, he lets her know that he’s still connected to him and that still means a lot to him even though they are not in the same place (“Where my dreams are alive, you are still here but you’re in my dreams”). The vocal performance is popping and the instrumentation is perfection
“Mission Control” is the title of the next song. The song opens with a very exciting beat that will draw you in. The song is about a character who isn’t anyone’s puppet and is trying to get home. The song uses a short audio of an actual Mission Control sound mixed in with a guitar solo mid-song. The mouth percussion and instrumentation are very exciting. This is a song I would love to hear high because listening to it, I was jumping up and down, dancing to its delicious groove
“Closed Door Drama” is the next song on the album. The intro of this song is quite unique and beautiful. The song seems to be talking about how all humans inherently crave love(“we all want to be loved”). The song has a very catchy beat and it is very Foot tapping
Next is the song “Stranger Things”. This song opens with heavenly mouth percussion and a gentle piano melody. The character in this song questions the love of his partner and feels like if they ever separate she will never come after him (“Would you come after me”). The song is very emotional and profound and is a nice change of pace in this album
“Stand and deliver” is the next track. The song opens with a lovely piano melody. The song talks about a character who has decided to go where he loves because of a relationship that isn’t the same anymore although he wishes he could be in her arms forever. The small guitar solo mid-song was very enjoyable. The vocal performance is amazing and this is a son that listeners will love
“Invisible Year” is the next track. The intro of this song is very upbeat and delicious. The song is about a character who wants to feel alive, he craves it and wants something real. This song is just simply amazing. I loved this song very much
“Dragons” is the next song on the album. The song opens with a very captivating melody. The character in the song describes a character who gets attacked by a dragon, during his first day at sea. The story in the song is very interesting and the bass guitar rounds out the song perfectly
Up next is the song “Only Hearts”. The album slows down with this beautiful song. The song is about a person who is feeling lost, but, he meets his lover who turns his life around(“love me”) and he’s desperately in love with her(“lost to love”). This song is a really lovely song with a smooth melody that you will die for
Up next is the song “Connected Lines”. This song has an electric intro that is unforgettable. The song illustrates a lovely relationship where they are really connected and stay on each other’s mind (“Must be you on my mind”). The vocal performance is powerful and undeniably beautiful.
“Transfer” is the next track on the album. The song is a rock-infused song that will get you hooked the moment it starts. The song goes full rock and is a song you can headbang to. The song teaches listeners to forgive themselves else, they won’t make it
Next is the track “Infused”. The intro of this song is very upbeat and motivational. The song is very catchy and the melody is stunning. The song talks about the inherent nature of desire(“We are born with desire”) and also talks about self-discovery and coming out of the fire refined and ready to take on the world
“Take Me Anyplace”, is the neck song that opens with a very trippy melody. The song talks about being lost, which could be literally or metaphorically. This character wants to just disappear from where he is to anyplace different This song creates a safe space to talk about these issues. The instrumental solo was quite the treat for your ears which you will enjoy
The album ends with the song “Sailor Girl”. This song opens with a retro synth rock-pop melody. The melody also has traces of that sweet sax melody. This song was the perfect goodbye for listeners to this album
This album was packed, each song towered strong and tall and was also profound. The vocal performances were outstanding and effortlessly beautiful. The album also contained multitudes because of its genre-bending abilities. I love the album and I am so so excited to hear more music from this artist
