No Comments News

Greetings to all my dearest gentle readers and music fans. Let’s welcome New Solarism to our blog. New Solarism, from Leipzig, Germany, releases their latest original album, ‘The Kiss’. This ten-song album was released on March 28. It features the artistry of violinist and composer Izabela Kaduska, who embarked on a musical journey through diverse emotions portrayed in ten original works. The project began as an online theatre collaboration with author Tomas Blum and evolved into a studio record that explores the depths of human emotions. Let’s talk more about this album

The album opens with “shock”. The song opens with a loud screeching sound like a train coming to a halt. Later this sound is mixed with an equally powerful violin sound. This song is much more than mundane. It is the classiest and most powerful song I’ve ever heard. It is no surprise that the title of this song is shocking because, it really did shock me and that is what art is supposed to do, it is supposed to shock you. This was a great song to open the album with

Next up is “being lost”. The song opens with this mournful and glacial stringed performance. The song starts off slow but, it picks up after other stringed instruments are added in. The violin sound was just stunning and this was a visionary song that will withstand the test of time because of how good it is. This was a song I could take in forever and I am positive that it will have the same effect on you

“Fear” is the name of the next song on the album. The song opens with some kind of beat. The taps were very exciting to listen to. The title of this song really matches the tone of the song. The dramatic and dark sound really does strike fear into you. This song is what you expect to hear in a horror movie, when the group goes their separate ways in a haunted house. I loved having the hair on my arms stand up in response to the song

Up next is the song “Uncertainty”. The song opens with a dramatic and sharp melody. As the song builds, the melody climbs as well. Every part of the song just takes you on a wolf journey that you will not forget. The way the sound builds and retreats over and over again was quite interesting to hear

Up next is the song “Spring”. The song opens with a haunting melody. This melody is mysterious and intense and sparks up curiosity within listeners. This song scratched my brain with its paralyzing allure. This song is yet another masterpiece on this album

“The search” is the next song on the album. When the song starts, the sound cuts in and out in a sharp and abrupt way, it was nothing like anything I’ve ever heard. It was very exciting and I wished I was watching this masterpiece come to life. What an amazing song!

“Grief” is the title of the next song. This song opens in a glacial way, giving listeners a lingering treat for their ears. The song was mournful and sad, matching the title and the vibe. Hearing this at a funeral will really wreck you because of how emotive the song is. The stringed instruments in this song went above and beyond and worked overtime to give listeners the very best experience.

“Rage” is the next song on the bill. The song opens with this violin sound that sounds like a creaky door being opened and shut repeatedly. Like the title, the sound is sharp and angry, and really sells the meaning the song wanted to convey to listeners

Next up is the song “Peace”. Oh this song, this song was effortlessly beautiful. It had this calming allure that the performance gave. There is nothing quite like a song that speaks to you without lyrics yet, this song spoke to me. It felt like the calm after the storm and we appreciate the artist for such a fabulous song.

The last song on the album is called “The End”. This song was very hopeful and lively right from the start. The melody was unlike anything I have ever heard. The song just brought a smile to my face and I loved listening to it. This was the perfect finale to the perfect album

The New Solarism provides a one-of-a-kind musical experience that defies convention by combining classical expertise with current experimentation. With influences ranging from Nils Frahm to Arvo Pärt, ‘The Kiss’ is notable for its exploration of the violin’s diverse soundscapes. The recording process in Leipzig echoes the city’s rich musical tradition, giving the CD a sense of artistic legacy. Izabela Kałduńska’s minimalist approach with violin, effects, and loops creates a mesmerizing sound tapestry that immerses listeners in a world of passionate melodies. The New Solarism’s music serves as a reminder of the potential of self-expression and contemplation in an age of uncertainty and solitude. I loved their music and I can’t wait to hear more music from them
