EXPLORE THE HUMAN EXPERIENCE WITH “ÈNYI” ECHEZONA’S ALBUM

No Comments Music

Greetings to all my most cherished readers, let us welcome Boston artist ECHEZONA .” Ényì”, is the title of Echezona’s latest release, a nine-song album, and it is the result of years of hard effort and dedication. The album, released on 22nd April, was produced at producer JPRiZM’s studio in Boston, Massachusetts, USA, and is featured on every song on this album. This album digs into the heart of the human experience. Let’s take a closer look at this collection of songs

The album’s title track is titled “Amazing”. The song opens with an electronic piano sounds. The song talks about how hard life is and the hassles that come along with it but, it also encourages us to have fun and release stress by partying, despite the hassles of life(“It’s a party you’re invited”). The beat was very thumping and the native tongue insertions were so powerful and beautiful. This song was one heck of an opener for the album

Next up is the song titled “Truthfully”. The song opens with a very gorgeous guitar melody, fused into this amazing mouth percussion. In this song, listeners meet a character who doesn’t lie, this character’s integrity is very important and sacred to him and he doesn’t care who gets hurt or gets upset(“I say it how it is, cry me a river”). This character isn’t wicked, he just wants to be honest at all times. Now, the producer snapped on this beat, it was so beautiful and the vibe fitted the song perfectly. This is another great song on the album

“Rare” is the title of the next song on this record. The intro was very exciting and will get you foot-tapping. The song talks about a relationship where the guy lets his partner know that she won’t find another person like him who would love her like this, and, he won’t find another person like her who will love him like this (“Good luck my dear searching for another cause my love is rare”). I love how this song shows that love is not a one-sided coin but rather, takes two people who cherish each other and feel lucky to have one another by their sides. The song was amazing and once again, I would say that the insertion of his native language in the song, makes it one in a million, a beat and a song, that no one can copy

Up next is the song “Flaws”. This song also opens with some very nice guitar, drum, and mouth percussion. This song speaks on the fact that we are all humans, we have all made mistakes and no one is perfect (“Who am I to criticize, we’ve all done things that we’re not proud of”). Like the lyrics say, we have all done things that were are ashamed of. This was yet another hit song on the album. A catchy song with a profound meaning

Next up is “stick around”. This song opens with sounds from a concert, where the crowd is singing along. The song is about a character who moves forward without looking back because what’s done is done, you can’t rewind time, no matter what you do. The song is foot-tapping and when played live, fans will be singing along and shouting like the beginning of the song. Sign me up, I’m ready to be a groupie

“Evolve” is the title of the next song. The song opens with some very groovy electric guitar sounds. This song illustrates a character who has a mysterious woman, evolved, and is out of his league, so, he decides to evolve as well so that, he will be in her league (“She’s evolved, we’re different, you’re my muse”). This song was sensual and ridiculously good, I loved it and listeners will love it too

“High Time” is the next song on the list. The song opens with some very nice mouth percussion in the artist’s native language. The song talks about breaking down walls and finding a way to reunite(“It’s high time that we heal”). This was yet another profound and beautiful song from the artist

Next up is the song “Wetin’ Dey Happen?”. The song opens with an incredible and Rich beat. In the song, the character is trying to find out why his partner is feeling some type of way (“You say I don’t love you no more waiting Dey happen”). He tells her that despite, what she has heard about him or their relationship, he loves her, he also tells her to avoid naysayers. It is very annoying when outside influences affect your relationship. Sometimes, it is so bad that reassurance doesn’t work and ultimately, the relationship ends. We thank the artist for talking about this issue and making some of us feel seen. The touch of the native Nigerian language makes this song so special and so intentional and beautiful

The album ends with “Locked in”. The song opens with sharp and bright electronic piano sounds and a beautiful mouth percussion. This song was so good!!! What!!, when the beat drops, we get a sick rap with a sick flow!!. Go on King!! Do your thing. The rap had sick punches and the beat was crazy. This is a send-off that you won’t forget long after the album has ended

Love, community, and self-discovery are among the themes explored in this album. Every song has its own experience, with its distinct attraction. For example, “Amazing,” “Stick Around,” and “Wetin Dey Happen?” will make you want to dance; “Rare,” “Truthfully,” “High Time,” and “Flaws” will make you think deeply; “Evolve” will keep you engaged in the plot; and “Locked In” will surprise you with hip hop. Overall, the album features a blend of musical styles that invites listeners on a voyage of reflection and celebration. Each song is a passionate outpouring, inspired by the rich tapestry of African culture and the universal language of friendship. This is an album you wouldn’t want to miss out on because it was an unforgettable experience. This artist deserves his flowers and I’m excited to hear more music from him
