Greetings dearest gentle readers and music lovers. Let’s welcome US artist Emer to our blog. On 25th April, he released a nine album called “Concurrence”. Let’s talk more about this album
The first song on the album is called “Contingency “. The song opens with these glacial and sharp piano and violin notes. This poetic performance is about being lost, purgatory feelings, and openness. The song had a theatrical feel, especially in the violin solo. What a kicker this song is
The next song is “Catalyst”. This song also opens with very soft and beautiful piano and violin notes. The song is very avant-garde and it has such a grand climax that will really draw listeners in to have some fun with it
“Back on this planet” is up next. The song has a very cautious and lingering intro. This song also features very bold and exciting violin sounds. The artist really stood on business with this song because it was just too good to pass or skip
“Congruence” is the title of the next song. The song opens with bold and glacial piano and violin sounds. Every note tells a story and it all comes together to build this unforgettable melody
Up next is the “crest of waves”. This song has a soft opening. Just like the song, the song and the melody come at you like waves, lapping over you over and over again till you are one with the music, an experience you shall never part with
The “international waters” is up next. The song opens with a gradual violin sound with tiny exciting beats, sprinkled all over it. This song was very orchestral with glacial timing and very ethereal vibes. This song gives the album a different vibe
Next is the “contingency instrumental” is up next. With this song, we get a fuller and richer vibe from it than the song itself. This song shows listeners a side of the artist and the album which we would never have imagined
“Back on this planet” is the next song on the album. This is yet again another remastering of the same song. This song talks about survival, belonging, strength, releasing fear, embracing, and hoping for happiness. The poetic nature of this song and the vocal performance are just amazing. This was the best song I’ve ever heard it was so profound and vulnerable and it ended the album in the most perfect way
The internal conflicts we face when looking for our identity, connection, and sense of belonging are examined in “Concurrence”. EMER explores the complexities of conflicting forces within ourselves—doubt and discovery, solitude and unity—using a fusion of modern classical, electronic, and cinematic soundscapes. Her path of resolving these inconsistencies is reflected in the album, which encourages listeners to consider their own experiences navigating life’s dissonance and discovering harmony in these forces coexisting. Concurrence is a potent and reflective musical journey that addresses the human need for purpose and identity which listeners will love because it shows her talent. I just want more and more music from this brilliant artist!
