Greetings to all my lovely readers and music lovers worldwide. Let’s welcome English artist HELLO HELLO HELLO HELLO. On 15th May, the artist released an eight-song album called “Post Mortem Analysis: An Album Chronicling the Writer’s Journey through Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Social Anxiety”. Let’s talk more about it
The first song is called …” And He Was Forever”. The song opens with a soft and dreamy guitar melody. The song is a poetic performance about vulnerability, absolution, and being swallowed in a dark place because the character is scared that nobody likes him or her (“Trying to find absolution, but he’s scared”). The guitar solo was very beautiful and tied up the song in an incredible way and it became a beautiful opening song for the album
“Made of sugar glass.” is the next song on the album. This song opens with a dreamy guitar melody. In the song, the character is described as fragile because he’s made out of glass. The vocal performance is beautiful and this is another masterpiece on the album
Up next is “About to Break,”. This song opens with sharp synth sounds. The character in the song refuses to go back to a particular place because the walls in that place are full of memories (“I can’t go back”). The sound in the song grows more urgent and the pace of the song changes a little bit
“but holding on.” Is the next song on the album. The intro is a mix of soft synth sounds and static sounds mixed together to provide a unique sound you have never heard before. The song then adds retro synth-pop sounds to it and it becomes this unforgettable avant-garde sound
“While people’s minds are elsewhere,” is the next song on the album. The intro of the song is a little upbeat and a nice change of pace in the album that is welcome. The song seems to be telling listeners that sometimes people are occupied with their own stuff and forget about them but, it really isn’t their fault and we should not hold it against them. The vocal performance is beautiful and the instrumentation is stunning
Next is the song “a dragon humbly dares.” The song opens with groovy synth-pop sounds. The song talks about how we can’t shoulder our burdens and that even dragons dare to take a break. Now, if this great and mighty dragon can take a break, so can we. The metaphor in this song is very profound and we all stand to learn something good from it, so props to the artist for this powerful message
“His mind askew, he realizes:” is the title of this next song. The song opens with a very exciting synth sound before the beat drops. The song talks about a character trapped in a certain situation but, he knows that he is not at fault in this situation, so his mind is at ease (“He knows that none of this is his fault”). The song is stunning and it is a great addition to this album
“Post Mortem Analysis: an Album Chronicling the Writer’s Journey through Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Social Anxiety.” is an 8-track album combining a variety of genres and influences, with each song attempting to represent one or two sessions of therapy the artist underwent. I must say, I did open up myself and I learned a lot, if this is what going to therapy looks like, I count this album as my first session and I applaud the artist for sharing this with us. I loved this album because it was eye-opening and delightful, and I can’t wait to hear more music from him
