JAIME’S TONE RELEASES A NEW AND LOVELY ALBUM TITLED “BEST OF”

No Comments Music

Greetings dearest readers and music fans let’s welcome French artist Jaime Tone back to our blog. My first encounter with this artist was his EP “All Those Years”, a very intimate collection of songs. On 9th May, Jaime released an eleven-song album called “Best of”. Let’s take a closer look at the album

“Speedy Lightning “ is the first song on the album. The intro of the song is very upbeat. The song illustrates a character who lives for the excitement of life and enjoys the thrill of his life, living on the fast lane(”the excitement that I feel”). The song is the best opener of the album

The second song on the album is called “Appearance”. The song opens with an energetic synth sound. The song is very fast-paced, it teaches a very valuable lesson about not judging people based on the way they look.(”how we look doesn’t define who we are”). Not all that glitters is gold. Someone might look very shiny but rather, be a very awful person. The instrumentation is bright and exciting. We applaud Tone for this beautiful and profound song

“City of Dreams” is the next song on the album. The intro is a very upbeat melody that will excite you. The song talks about how the things we see in dreams, sometimes never come true. Sometimes, dreams are just dreams and that’s just it. The vocal performance suits the vibe of the song perfectly, creating a song that is ridiculously good

The next song is called “War”. The song opens with the line “its war”, mouth percussion, and synth rock sound. The song talks about self-identity crises and how we can be at war with ourselves. There is a musical solo which was beyond amazing. This was such a powerful statement and song

Up next is “under and below”. This is yet another song with a rock-infused song. This song is about fighting for what we want, come high or low waters. This song was highly entertaining, especially because of the guitar solo

“Take a chance” is the next song on the album. This song doesn’t use any fancy sounds at the beginning, it goes straight into the performance. The song illustrates a character who is asking for a chance to be with the woman he loves. He asks her to give him a fighting chance (” Take a chance with me”). The retro vibe of the song and the duet was extremely beautiful and breathtaking

“May’84” is the title of the next song on the record. This song has a very upbeat and exciting intro. This song goes down memory lane and takes listeners with him as he recounts the day he met the love of his life in May 1984 (”I remember the day we met “), even when though they had lost contact. The song is beautiful and nostalgic and it is an interesting story for listeners to follow and enjoy

Next is the song “Genius”. The song opens with a synth-pop sound. The song tells listeners a story about a boy who was a natural genius(”a genius at the age of ten”). The story seems to be told by his sister and she seems to be very proud of him. The vocal performance really sold us on the story in the song and so did the instrumentation

Next is the song “Wake Up”. This song opens with a soft and bright intro. The song talks about how sometimes we wake up worrying about the future. The vocal performance really told the story in an unforgettable way. This is yet another banger on this album

The next song is “Number One”. The song opens with an impressive piano melody before the drum sets in. The song talks about how sometimes we dream about something for so long, yet when we get to that goal, we don’t feel fulfilled like we thought we would (”being number one has always been my dream)

The last song on the album is “The Cloudly Element. This song opens with this eerie and dark sound that is really exciting. This song makes you feel like you’re at your own rave, dancing your troubles away. This beautiful and thumping beat ends the album

Five years after the initial Jaime’s Tone album, and following a more intimate release in both French and English, he felt compelled to recreate some of his songs. He had the impression that several songs from the first two albums were excellent and deserved to be re-edited and remastered, with the goal of being more direct while also achieving a better sound, which he did perfectly. Tone has done it again and I await new music
