NICK THE LESSER HAS RELEASED “21 MINUTES” A MESSAGE OF OPTIMISM IN THE MIDST OF DARKNESS

No Comments Review

Greetings to all my most cherished readers and music lovers. Let’s welcome Upland-based artist SAINT NICK THE LESSER to our blog. This artist won me over with his single “Train Tracks”. The song was beautiful and profound and, I was awaiting more music from him and I got my wish On 27th June this artist released a single called “21 minutes”. Let’s take a closer look at this wonderful song

The song opens with a beautiful and upbeat guitar melody which is very captivating

This song tells the story of a suicide attempt and the journey to redemption. It inspires hope and resilience in the face of hardship. The song introduces us to an unnamed character who had had enough of life and tried to kill himself. The song does not end there though, this character,, goes through a tough time because the road to recovery was long. The song does not end there, it lets listeners know that this character put in the work and got better and, at the end of the song, this character finds himself in the bathroom alone but, this time around, the scars on his wrist lets him know that he is a warrior, a survivor and no condition is permanent. The scars were not there to let him know that he was weak but, to remind him that he chose life, he has come so far and and that, things will get better(”razor blade next to me, I’d have enough, you think that nothing is ever going to change, but i guarantee you that nothing stays the same, so don’t do it because you’re worth it, don’t let go”).

With punk, ska, and anti-folk influences, Saint Nick the Lesser draws inspiration from seasoned artists such as Laura Jane Grace, Chuck Regan, and Tim Barry, with a special respect to Frank Turner’s striking stylings. “21 Minutes” stands out as a watershed moment in the artist’s musical evolution.

Talking about suicide is awkward and uncomfortable. Sometimes, we fail to even understand why a person would try to take his or his own life and we respond in an a way that may upset the victim but, the artist has created a song and a safe space for us to talk about it and process our feelings about it in our own way, and we appreciate him for breaking the ice about it. This artist is committed to making music that will resonate with listeners due to its raw genuineness and persistent message of optimism in the midst of darkness. I loved this song and I am more than eager to hear more music from him
