Dearest gentle readers and music fans, let’s warmly welcome Vanna Pacella. Vanna Pacella is a singer-songwriter, keyboardist, and synth bassist from Cape Cod, Massachusetts, recognized for her sincere original compositions and energetic performances. This nine-song album is titled “Listen”. The record, which I’m going to talk about, was released on the 25th of July.

The title track is titled “The More I Feel”. This first song is a brief but impactful piano melody. It sets the right tone for the album.

The second track is called “Listen”. The song opens with a breathtaking and glacial piano melody that is later fused with a lovely drum beat. The song talks about a character who sees no point in trying to do certain things because the person in her life makes her feel like nothing she does will change anything, so why try at all?. I don’t agree with the stance this character has chosen for herself, but sometimes, we all feel a little like this character, and this song proves to us that it is okay to feel like that. Musically, there is not much to say because Vanna just blew my mind. From the vocals to the harmonies to the instrumentation, I was so smitten.

The song that follows is called “The Dark Side of the Light”. The song opens with a bright piano melody. This song shows a pattern of a declining relationship. The woman does all she can in the relationship; she keeps yearning for him and keeps wanting to save him, even though she knows it will not end well, and she will be hurt. Every one of us has been in this type of situation where we are trapped in a vicious cycle of being hurt. The truth is that some people are irredeemable, so, as much as it hurts, we have to let them go. Musically, Vanna shows a different facet of her voice, which is just so catchy. The instrumentation and the vocals made me feel like I was a deer in headlights because it was just so enthralling.

“All I ever wanted” is up next. The song opens with an intense piano melody that is then mixed with a guitar and drum beat. This song talks about a character who has gotten the chance to be with the person she has always dreamed of, but not everything is as it seems, and the character learned this the hard way and soon becomes so miserable. Again, we hear another side of Vanna’s impeccable vocals. This song was drop-dead gorgeous!

Up next is the song “Holding my breath”. The song opens with a dreamy and beautiful guitar melody. This song talks about a persona who is longing for someone, and she describes not being able to tell him as holding her breath. Musically, this song has an acoustic vibe, which really suited the vocal performance.

The sixth song is called “Come and Go(what have I done?). This song opens with a cool and bright guitar melody, which takes its time with every single strum. Through the song, we meet a persona who has fallen for someone, but the person doesn’t even want to be near her. They have a will-they, wo n’t-they relationship. This song has the winning combination of Vanna’s powerhouse vocals and an amazing electric guitar melody, supporting it throughout

“Wolf” is the seventh song on the record. The song opens with a bold yet emotive piano melody. The song talks about a character on whom someone has a very strong hold. He can change her mind in a snap. At first glance, you might think that the character is in a good relationship, but after a while, you can tell that, even though she loves this man, she feels trapped and, in all honesty, has lost all hope for any individualism. Musically, Vanna’s voice is as bright and clear as the sky, and the instrumentation is truly remarkable.

“Fold” is the next song on the album. This song opens with a very unique, intricate, and amazing guitar melody. The song talks about the bad effects of a toxic and codependent relationship. This person has lost all sense of self because she has buried herself in him, staying stagnant. Musically, Vanna brings the vibe of Billie Eilish’s voice and aura to this song, so we get a deeply emotive and wonderful song.

The last song on the album is called “The less I know”. This song’s intro is mid-tempo, but it is still very exciting. The song talks about the aftermath of a breakup. The character in the song is in great despair after her breakup. She is so hurt and messed up by the breakup. This song really resonated with me, and I am glad to know that I am not alone in this, or the only person who has faced this situation. This beautiful song ends the album.

This album is a daring, self-produced examination of love, loss, healing, growth, and artistic endurance. Pacella, at the age of 18, has created an introspective yet globally relatable song that demonstrates her development as a lyricist as well as her brave and uncompromising artistic vision. Why else would the album still be relevant two months after its release?. I am now a fan of hers, and I am excited to witness her rise to mega stardom.
