AMARA FE STEPS IN A FRESH PERSPECTIVE WITH HER NEW ALBUM “REBORN”

No Comments Music

With influences from a diverse range of performers and a desire to restore purpose and joy to music, US artist Amara Fe’s 13-song album “Reborn” promises to captivate audiences with its genuineness and relatability. The record was released on 9th August. Let me be your guide as we take a closer look at this album

Song number one is called “Too Good for That”. The song opens with a very catchy beat and Amara giving us a nice little riff. In the song, we meet a character who is handling her breakup very very well. Instead of crying and sulking, she is out on the town, with her girls and she even wore a backless dress(like Princess Diana’s iconic revenge dress). The main point she wanted to send across is that, she is too good to be crying over a man instead, she gets right back on her feet like nothing happened. We love a strong woman!. I mean this song had everything, an important message about dusting one’s off after hardship, amazing vocals, and killer instrumentation. I couldn’t think of a better choice to open the album

Next is the track “hole in chest”. This song opens with such a melodious riff and mouth percussion. The song tells a story about a woman who is a shadow of her former self. She lost her heart, her fire, her light, her fight , her courage she lost herself and gave up. But one day, she heard a voice whisper to her to get up and keep fighting. Thankfully she listened to the voice, kept fighting, and found her life and her light once again. It is not clear who that whisper was but, whatever it was, it got her back up. The vocal performance was so incredible. The song reminded me of Ariana Grande’s “thank you next”. This is a song I will keep on my playlists to inspire me whenever I need it.

“Trust Me Again” is the third song on the album. The song opens with a very catchy melody. This song is about a person who has admitted that she is broken inside and needs to work on herself before she is with anyone. She asks for time to work on herself and promises to be back to him and give him her all and asks him to trust her. This song is very profound. Not many people will admit to their loved ones that they need help or need time to work on themselves. Most people just remain quiet and make their loved ones very unhappy so, props to Amara for talking about this. I got the feeling of goodness I felt when I listened to music like Faith Evans or Brandy and I loved every moment of it. Encore! Encore!

Next up is “Come Back Home”. This song gets right into the vocal performance. In the song, we meet a character who misses her partner dearly. In his absence, she misses him and apologizes for what she said, saying that she didn’t mean it. This song is so relatable because we have all been in a similar situation as the character in the song. I love that I felt seen by this song and it was such an exciting experience I will recommend it to everyone

“Blinded by the Lights” is the next song on this record. The song opened with these bright trumpet sounds that are so beautiful. The song portrays a character who was blinded by glitz and glamour, thinking that it was what she needed when it wasn’t. Deep down, she didn’t want any of it, not really, she just wanted to be loved. This song I think is like the saying that “it’s lonely at the top”. Fortunately for the character in the song, she quit those material things and went out for what she needed and she became alright. The vocal performance was outstanding and breathtaking. I enjoyed this song and listeners will love it too

“Cut the strings” is up next. This song has a beautiful melody at the start. This song is about a character who is breaking away from people who try to keep her in the darkness and is fed up with being damaged by a broken system. Because we are all the same, no one deserves scrap or be looked down on. It’s time to resist and this magnificent song is the anthem that we will ride with into victory. With vibes like a Caribbean vibe, this is a song you can dance to and protest with. We love songs with a double-edged song over here and this is the song we need to turn up the heat.

Next up is the track “unscripted”. This song opens with a nice finger snapping sound and a sharp piano melody. This is a song about defiance and breaking the mold because we refuse to be what they want us to be. We are tired of treading in the world of black and white when there is a gray area. The instrumentation gives this song an extra mix and the vocal performance was the perfect icing on the cake

Up next is the song “Brains Over Beauty”. The song opens with a soft and dreamy piano melody. This song presents to us a woman of substance. A woman who is beautiful on the inside, her grace speaking for her, this woman needs no crown and no attention because her character and her achievements speak for her. If you have listened to this album till now, you will not be surprised by Amara’s beauty. Her voice is so smooth and buttery and it makes you feel like you’re floating on a cloud, up, above, and away from all problems

Next up is the track “Look in the Mirror”. The song opens with a beautiful sound and Amara’s angelic voice. This song is a self-empowerment anthem. It is telling us that we are the main character, the moment, the vibe, and the table. We have to step into our power and this song will get you into that headspace. With this song, you can hype yourself up and be ready to face anything and everything. What a power trip!, Our guru is Amara’s angelic and wonderful voice, reminding us of what we already are

“Turn her back” is the title of the next track. The song opens with a very glacial and intricate piano melody and mouth percussion. In this song, Amara appeals to the warrior in us, the queen, and the boss bitch. Yes!, We were all born with it and Amara begs us to bring her back. Now, it is normal for us to sometimes lose our way, and be cast down but, in those difficult times, that woman inside us never left, she had been inside, comforting us and waiting for us to pick ourselves back up so we could return to our former glory. Amara just breathes into this song, connecting with us on a deeper level and reminding all of us that we are destined to be bigger and better than we are now.

The eleventh song on the album is called “All on My Own”. The song opens with a very intricate and delicate piano melody. The character in this song is a fighter and a warrior who is self-sufficient and doesn’t need anyone to fight her battles for her. This song isn’t condemning chivalry or asking for help, it just promotes self-dependency and self-sufficiency that might have been born out of a dire situation, but is very important. We appreciate Amara for letting the world know that indeed girls do get it done!. In this song, she does not hold back and we get to see her full vocal range Let me tell you, it is mind-blowing!

The next song on this record is titled “living my best life”. The song opens with a very bold and captivating mouth percussion. In this song, we meet a character who brings the vibe and the charisma wherever she goes because she is indeed living her best life and, isn’t afraid to show it. Amara sounded vibrant and brought that boss bitch energy to the song. This song turned the good vibes to a hundred and listeners will love it

The last song on the album is called “Expectations”. This song opens with a captivating melody. The character in this song lets everybody know that she is no longer going to be living according to the expectations of anybody anymore. There are a lot of expectations we are supposed to live up to in this world and being a woman, whew, those expectations rise to a million more. It is hard to live like that and sometimes for our peace of mind, we have to walk away from them because, that is the only way we can truly be free. This song was so inspirational and heartfelt and Amara really connected with us on this song. This incredible song ends the album

This album depicts Amara Fe’s decision to assume complete charge of her music production, as she transitions from composer to multidimensional musician, demonstrating her creative progress and devotion to providing her listeners with a fresh perspective. She was very committed to making music that would take us sonic voyage that not only entertains but also connects profoundly with our personal stories. She excelled beyond words in fulfilling this desire of hers and we are so so appreciative of her efforts on this album. I am now a fan of Amara and I am excited to join her on this new and amazing music journey
