EMERGING FROM THE VOID: RADIATING THROUGH THE SONIC SANCTUARY OF COSMIC SONGBIRD”S “BORN TO STAND OUT” EP

It gives us immense pleasure today to introduce an old soul in our blog: Natalie Farrell, the legendary English artist. For those of you who have not yet had the chance to experience her first studio album, “No Longer Lost”, it remains a very special album in my playlist, with its lasting impression having created an unbreakable place within my heart. It is with great pleasure that I inform you about her return with another fantastic album named *Born To Stand Out*. Having been launched on April 2nd, it brings forth a fresh set of songs that have made her “The Cosmic Songbird”. Come with me as we unravel the secrets of this new album titled “Born To Stand Out.”

It all starts with “The Unconscious Cacoon”, which does not live up to its name as it opens with a barrage of percussive vocal noises rather than being silent or muted. It comes across as a heartbeat within a shell, raw and earthy, and a bit startling to shock the audience into a state of awareness. From a musical standpoint, the song is a perfect example of building up tension. The vocals of Natalie herself start off sounding like a rough growl before turning into something almost ethereal, akin to a Gregorian chant, reflecting the experience of a soul that is trying to break through its shell. The music itself, rich in cinematic quality thanks to producer Sam Hall, is filled with tension that ultimately transforms into a bright electronic landscape. The adlibs on this song sounded spectacularly good, and the result is a poetic, emotive, and powerful song

When we move to the song “Unravling the Truth”, the style of the preceding song disappear, and in their place comes a fragile vocal melody that gives us the impression of water droplets falling on an ice-covered surface. The music in this case is simple and pure. The singing itself is tender and whispers as if Natalie is telling the truth to you alone, right to your ear. In this respect, as the song goes on, the piano playing itself becomes smoother and more melodic, symbolizing the “untangling” of the long-ago tied knots. It is emotionally moving since it pushes the listener into a reflective state of mind and makes one accept the truth as a relief rather than a burden.

However, there is a drastic change in mood regarding “The Fallen Voice”. In contrast to the melancholy implied by the title, the tune takes off with a poetic performance filled with haunting ripples. This track does not begin with a fall but rather the reverberations of the fall. The instruments used are magnificent, with traditional medicine music being mixed with pop music of today, resulting in a “sonic soundscape” that is timeless. The effect of this music on the listener is empowering, with the song calling for an assertive posture through the use of a voice range that reaches the “primeval-like hylic place.” There is an ethereal quality to this song like the rest of the songs so far

“In Becoming the Luminary”, the EP peaks. The song begins with layers of rich golden synth sounds, pulsating steadily with a beat suggestive of an “ecstatic dance.” It is here where true emergence takes place. As far as music goes, this is the “cosmic” peak of the album; the vocals are joyful, grand, and feature “galactic language” in addition to multi-dimensional harmony that makes us feel infinite space. As for the instrumentation, it’s lavish and celebratory, featuring a beat that sounds just like our own heartbeat and melodies that remind us of how a soul becomes airborne after years of suffering. After the last note is played, we become a part of “therapeutic trance” feeling liberated, understood, and charged up with energy.

Through the rerelease of her first EP, Healing Angelic Tones: Born To Stand Out, Natalie Farrell, who is affectionately referred to as Cosmic Songbird by many people, takes us to a complete sanctuary experience where the lines between music and spirituality vanish into thin air. The song isn’t something that was planned out in a studio; rather, it’s a collection of impromptu recordings that merge Natalie’s powerful voice with the soothing sounds of the Crystal Tones® alchemy bowls. The binaural audio tracks created for the song have been engineered to bypass the logical brain’s activity, taking you straight into a deep meditative state. As far as I am concerned, this is one of the most revealing collections of music that I have ever come across. It has impacted me on many levels and healed me in ways that are beyond words, let alone description. Holding such a masterpiece as mine only will be highly selfish on my part. I would sincerely ask you to take some time off for once and immerse yourselves into these vibes. Let this album transform you in ways that it has transformed me.
