Ed McVey and Meg Bellamy, who played Kate Middleton and Prince William, are taking centre stage.
The young actors saw The Crown’s season six, part one premiere on Sunday at Los Angeles’ Regency Village Theatre. Four days after a provisional agreement with the Alliance of Motion Picture and Television Producers brought an end to the SAG-AFTRA strike, Bellamy and McVey walked the blue carpet alongside cast members Elizabeth Debicki, Khalid Abdalla, Jonathan Pryce, Luther Ford, Rufus Kampa, and Fflyn Edwards
The Crown’s big week began with the premiere, since part 1 of season 6 debuted on Thursday. This autumn, Netflix’s popular drama series based on the life of the British royal family will make two farewell appearances. The first will be a split premiere for season 6, which debuted in 2016.
An intriguing development is that Bellamy, Ford, and McVey will all regard season 6 of The Crown as their first time on professional television
Part 2 will debut on December 14 and consist of six episodes, highlighted by the last casting adjustment. Bellamy will portray Kate, and McVey will play William opposite Ford as Harry. According to prior statements from Netflix, part two will take place in college, where a budding romance between the future Prince and Princess of Wales will occur while the ageing Queen considers the future of the monarchy.
