The song opens with a dreamy and beautiful guitar sound, side by side with a soft drum beat that hooks you into the song before you can even resist
In the song, the beautiful female vocals sing so tenderly but just after, the song flips its sound and trajectory completely. What started out as a soft rock or ballad quickly becomes a heavy metal song that you will find yourself rocking out to and returns to a soft melody like in the beginning Talk about the versatility which this song has plenty of
Filip’s old bandmate Eva Halsetronning Rambraut sings some of the vocal sections. When the next powerful, prog rock section begins, Robert’s growling sounds incredibly exciting in contrast to the first section’s gentle, laid-back vibe and Eva’s distinct lead vocal tone. The third half of “Chronos” is again a return to a more peaceful and relaxed atmosphere where Robert, Stian, and Filip really are able to demonstrate their varied playing and performing skills with their separate guitar solos. And these solos were a ten out of ten. No complaints here just love, love, love on this site
When I say that this song is unique, I might be downplaying its greatness. The sudden change in melody and tempo was so powerful and professionally done. This song took me by surprise in every possible way. For a band that got together only last year, they are very in sync with each other, giving every member a chance to shine. What a talented band! They are incredible and I can’t wait to hear more from them
