English and Albanian singer-songwriter Dua Lipa  is an Albanian:  was born on August 22, 1995. Her disco-inspired production and mezzo-soprano vocal range have garnered her praise from critics and media. Throughout her career, she has won multiple awards, including two Guinness World Records, three Grammy Awards, and six Brit Awards. In 2021, she was listed as one of Time 100 Next.

EARLY LIFE AND EDUCATION

The eldest child of Kosovo Albanian parents Anesa (née Rexha) and Dukagjin Lipa from Pristina, FR Yugoslavia (present-day Kosovo), Lipa was born in London .Her family follows Islamic Teachings 

At 15, Lipa returned to London. She completed her A-Levels at Parliament Hill School before making a part-time return to Sylvia Young Theatre School.She posted her own music to YouTube and SoundCloud. She started uploading videos to YouTube of herself doing covers of songs like Christina Aguilera’s “Beautiful” (2002) and Alicia Keys’ “If I Ain’t Got You” (2004).In order to assist herself obtain a part as a “singer” in an ITV advertisement for The X Factor in 2013, Lipa registered with a modelling agency and modelled for Topshop[25]. She also covered the song “Lost in Music” (1979).She hired a manager and a producer

CAREER

While working as a waiter in a cocktail bar in 2013, Lipa signed a contract with Tap Management, which was led by Ed Millett and Ben Mawson. Mawson was introduced to Lipa by her attorney, who dissuaded her from accepting an additional publishing agreement that was made available to her. They then made her a monthly compensation offer to quit her work and concentrate on making music recordings.Lipa co-wrote the song “Hotter than Hell” during one of the sessions,which helped her land a record contract with Warner Bros. Records in 2014.

The song “No Lie” by Sean Paul, which was released in November 2016 and peaked at number ten in the UK, featured Lipa.Six years after its release, the song reached the top ten in ten different nations, and as of December 2022, it was Sean Paul’s most streamed song. In April 2022, the Tim Nackashi-directed music video on YouTube achieved over one billion views.

More than any other artist that year, Lipa was nominated for five categories at the 2018 Brit Awards in January. Her songs “New Rules” received nominations for British Single of the Year, British Video of the Year, MasterCard British Album of the Year, British Female Solo Artist, and British Breakthrough Act. Future Nostalgia: The Moonlight Edition and the track “We’re Good” by Lipa were released on February 11, 2021.Co-written by Lipa, Aleyna Tilki’s debut English-language single “Retrograde” was released on February 26, 2021. On June 4, 2021, Lipa released the song “Can They Hear Us” off the Gully soundtrack.

Lipa and Megan Thee Stallion released “Sweetest Pie” along with a music video on March 11, 2022.The song, which is the lead single from Megan’s second studio album Traumazine, is the result of their first collaboration .Young Thug and Lipa worked together to release “Potion” on May 27. It is the lead song from Harris’s sixth studio album, Funk Wav Bounces Vol. 2. After releasing their single “One Kiss” in 2018, it was Harris and Lipa’s second collaboration.

Lipa’s single “Dance the Night” from the Barbie movie soundtrack was released on May 26, 2023.In the film, Lipa made her screen debut as Mermaid Barbie. Lipa said on November 1, 2023, that her next single, “Houdini,” would be available on November 9, 2023. It is expected that the song would serve as the lead single for her soon-to-be third studio album.
