Contestants from Niall Horan’s ‘The Voice’ Dazzle With Billy Joel Battle

No Comments News

NBC’s The Voice has entered into the battle rounds. It’s a place where hopes are dashed, where dreams are kept alive, and where the coaches are made to suffer at decision time

Lennon VanderDoes and Tanner Massey competed against one another on Tuesday, October 17, to the song “She’s Always a Woman” by Billy Joel. Niall Horan, who is in high form after coaching the winner in his first season, partnered the contestants.

Wow, wow, wow, that was so incredible,” Gwen Stefani remarked at the close. “Both of you are mindblowing in your own way.” If she had to choose, she’d go with Massey.

“Really, both amazing,” John Legend said. Legend has his own connection with “She’s Always a Woman”; it’s the inspiration for “All of Me,” the “song that changed my life. And hearing you two sing it was just magical.” If he had to make the call, he’d lean “ever so slightly” toward Massey.

Horan chose to advance VanderDoes against the advise of his rivals and fellow coaches. There is yet more to the story. Both Legend and Stefani made attempts to “steal” the budding artist. Massey, who had just had to deal with the heartbreaking disappointment of rejection, had to make another decision. He opted for Team Gwen

The well-known singing competition programme airs on NBC at 8 p.m. ET/PT; for channel information, check your local listings. The Voice episodes will be available to watch on demand on Peacock the day after they air on television, but Peacock Premium Plus subscribers can also watch live.
