No Comments Music

Greetings to all my lovely readers and music fans, let’s welcome US artist DISTANCE MAJOR to our digital space. Michael Keane’s latest effort, is called “Distance Major”. The self-titled debut album was released on October 3rd. Let’s talk more about this nine-song album.

The title track of the record is “Finish to start again”. The song opens with a dark synth bass that is very captivating. As the song builds, the sound adopts a twangy synth sound that is throbbing and vibrant. The song maintains the dark tone from start to finish. This song gives you just a taste of the amazing album that is headed your way.

The second song is called “Distance Major Distance Minor. This song starts with a hopeful and bright sound. It just radiates positivity from the moment it begins. When a beat is added, the song becomes that much more lively and lovely. All in all, this song is fantastic.

“Distance Echoes” is the next song on the record. When the song starts, the sound bounces from one sound to another, and it is so very satisfying. The melody takes a dip a few times, but it never loses its peppiness and charm.

“With You” is the song that comes next. The song opens with an exciting drum beat, a brief bass sound, and then it descends into the synth-based sounds. The drum beat in this song never lets up, and it just elevates the song so amazingly.

The fifth song on the record is titled “Bumper”. The song opens with these blaring synth sounds before the drum and bass set in. This song oscillates between synth and regular instrumentation, which I have never seen coexist in the same song. The song is so layered and very exciting to listen to. I loved it so much, and I know that listeners will fall for it too.

Next is the song titled “Nyc 1970s Cinema”. This song has a jazz feel right from the first note. The song has a beautiful arrangement. The song washes over you, over and over again, and listening to it felt like sitting in a massage chair after a long day. It was just so soothing and a perfect addition to this album.

“Heading in Now” is the next song on the album. This song opens with a refreshing and new sound that I have never heard before. The drums are at the forefront of this song, and they build and bring the song together perfectly. Seven songs in, this album is still exciting and bringing something new to listeners, one song at a time.

“A Simple Thought (Peace)” is the name of the next song. This song opens with a dark and dramatic synth sound that opens up to accommodate a beautiful piano melody. This piano melody is peaceful, and it sucks the dark synth sound up and morphs it into this piano melody that is unforgettable. What an amazing song!

The last song on the record is called “Old Shirt”. This song opens with a sharp synth sound. The song has pop elements in it and is an avant-garde experience that I recommend to everyone. The song was Crisp and flawless. I literally stepped out of my body, the song lifted me right out of my body, and I loved it so much. This song ends the album magically.

Under the Distance Major alias, his recordings mix the intellectually introspective atmosphere of the best instrumental indie rock with the emotional resonance of ambient and prog-influenced electronica, offering soundscapes suitable for film, television, and interactive media. He is very talented, and thus the album is proof of that. I cannot wait to hear more music from Distance Major.
