Montreal-based singer and songwriter James Alynes returns with the release of his new single, “Pistes (Toi et Moi).” The Alternative Pop singer exclusively premiered the new track and called it “Joy of A Man’s Desiring” in English.
The publication of “Pistes (Toi et Moi)” will follow James‘ anticipated debut album, which could happen in late 2022. James’s newest single draws on a more maximalist pop-rock sound in comparison to the softer ballads that were notably featured on the tune. “Pistes (Toi et Moi)” marks the start of a new chapter for this budding musician and is full of pounding rhythms, anthemic production, and irresistibly addictive pop hooks.
Expanding on what inspired the track, he said: “The project (a song a day) attracted attention from the likes of the Guinness Record Association, radios and many respected DJ’s and musician in Canada, France, Belgium, Germany and more. Composed on for my challenge – which consisted in releasing a song a day (everyday) for a year, so 371 songs – Pistes (Toi et Moi) is widlely considered to be Variety/Folk, with Pop sounds, while remaining in a Rap universe. While many songs are about love, this one, full of nostalgia, celebrates the end of love. Not in a pessimistic way, but in an adult way, like two people who realize, much later, that they loved each other too early.”
The song has this catchy hooks vibes which gets you singing alone, even though I don’t understand the lyrics I was vibing to it. Because the hook is so unique. Take a listen to James Alynes Pistes (Toi et Moi) and I bet you, you will thank me later.
