Joost Laméris, a 27-year-old singer-songwriter from Amsterdam, the Netherlands. On May 27th, his new single ‘Falling Apart’ was released on all streaming platforms, accompanied with an official music video produced by CUZZO Films.
‘Falling Apart’ is a beautiful chillpop/indiepop ballad in which I narrate the narrative of one of my previous relationships, which occurred during the COVID-19 pandemic’s lockdown. It reflects on their happy times together while also portraying the truth of their growing apart. The song expresses how being passionately in love and caring for one another was insufficient to make their relationship succeed. ‘Falling Apart,’ an indie pop tune inspired by musicians such as Griff, LÉON, and Gracie Abrams, is aimed to encourage listeners to dream, process their feelings, and feel reassured.

‘Falling Apart’ is a nostalgic, desperate, and passionate song that encourages the listener to create a vivid mental image. The song narrates the tale of Joost’s ex-relationship from the beginning, which took place under a COVID-19 pandemic-induced lockdown, to the mending after the breakup. The single ‘Falling Apart’ is the second in a series of singles. It’s accompanied by a music video, the link to which is provided above. In July, a new single will be released. After that, he will release six tracks from his debut EP one by one. The debut EP will have a dreamy air to it, with songs ranging from melancholy ballads to upbeat indie pop. Mental health, love, and self-discovery will all be addressed in the songs.
