You ignore the bad behavior and the red flags not because you’re stupid or blind but because, you are hoping and wishing with all your heart that things will change.

My heart goes out to the character in the song because, this is a situation that has happened to a lot of people. Now, you might not stay for ten years but, every second you spend with a person who keeps hurting you is also a form of being chained to the person
