Friends star Matthew Perry passed away a week ago, and his family has revealed that a foundation, the Matthew Perry Foundation, has been established to support people who are battling substance misuse. According to a statement provided to ET, the organisation will carry on Perry’s life’s work of supporting those battling addiction, something he stated was “paramount” to him before to his passing.
Without a doubt, my greatest quality is when someone approaches me and declares, “I’m addicted to alcohol.” Can you assist me? Perry replied, “I can say yes, follow up, and complete it. And I’ve been saying this for a long time: I want Friends to be the last thing mentioned after I pass away, not the other way around. And I intend to demonstrate that for the remainder of my life.” Regarding his wish that people will talk about him when he passes away, Perry remarked, “And his paramount thing is that he wants to help people.” “That’s what I want.”
