Hi there, welcome to our blog one and all. Our blog celebrates genuine artists and their music. Today we welcome NATE G to our blog. Nate G, an independent musician, will release his new album “me myself and i “on August 22, the 6-song album is a wholly self-produced, no-features piece of work that merges lofi, alternative pop, and American hip hop into something intensely personal and emotionally raw. Let me walk you through it

The album’s title track is the song “Expectations”. The song gets right into the vocal performance. The song has a tribal drum sound that is in the background of the entirety of the song. The song talks about how we as human beings are expected to do certain things. It also talks about how we can meet or cannot meet the expectations of others. Musically, this song was off the chain. The rap was interesting, and the drum sound was just so hypnotizing. What a way to open this record.

“Shine bright” is the second song on the album. The song opens with a unique instrumental. It seemed like they were sounds made by different animals. Thematically, the song is about a character who is letting us know that he plans to shine bright, no matter the cost. He attributes his failures to the fact that he has people in his life who bring him down. Musically, I thought I was listening to Drake. The way he performed the song was quite like Drake but, with his own spin and it was delightful to enjoy

“All alone” is the next song on the album. The song opens with a bright and exciting melody. The song talks about a character who feels like he’s all alone because he always takes the blame for anything that goes wrong. Musically, we get another noteworthy rap that will excite listeners.

“Fangz” is the title of the next song on the record. This song opens with a crazy and thrilling bass, which is followed by these synth-pop sounds. In this song, the character is talking about his life, his moves, and his romantic life, and how he’s always put in a compromising position. The rap went crazy and the bars were flowing freely. This was a very good tapping song that you can vibe to

Next up is the song “Smack DVD’s “. The song goes right into the rap performance. The song talks about a character who is saying to everyone that he has moved on and doesn’t watch Smack DVD’s. He is letting them know that he is no longer on their level. In this song, Nate sounds so much like Kendrick Lamar and it was amazing to witness because, he gave a new and fresh approach to this song, breathing extra life into this album.

The last song on the album is called “Bringing Up My Past”. The song opens with the vocal performance. The character in the song talks about how no matter what he does, people still comment on his past and how they switched up when he got ahead in life. The rap performance was smooth and passionate and ended the album with a bang.

Nate G is a true DIY artist, having written, produced, and recorded all of his songs from scratch. He is inspired by artists like Nas and producers like Timbaland, but he refuses to pursue trends or clout. Instead, Me Myself I takes listeners inside his private world, exploring themes of isolation, identity, and inner conflict through mesmerizing sounds and sensitive lyrics. To Nate, this album is about learning how to sit with yourself in the dark—and not panic, and, it’s for the moments you feel a heavy sense of self-doubt and chaos all around you. I truly enjoyed this album and I implore you to give it a listen and be transformed forever!
