Nick explains in “Get There Before Noon (LA mix)” that the inspiration for the heartfelt song truly came to him. He says, “I woke up with a hangover after a late and long hangout at my flat in NYC, but I had to go record for another artist and I had to get there before noon.” The song’s lyrics, which include “And on one day, you gonna miss that day” and “I got to live this life, not yesterday,” seem to be telling listeners to live each day to the fullest and to follow their own rhythm. And also to never regret any time spent in life and be unapologetically yourself till you die
In his pursuit of music as “a symbol of uninhibited freedom” and “an outlet for those who don’t really fit in with the normal flow of society,” he is joined by Grammy-winning synth player Leo Genovese, who is based in New York City, and George Athanas, a bassist and former member of Stray Blue who is Greek. When Leo and Nick first met, they were performing together in pubs and clubs in New York. These days, Leo travels to Los Angeles to visit Nick, and the two of them work together on new songs while touring some of the world’s most prestigious venues.
This music was rearranged and rerecorded in Nick’s home studio in Los Angeles after being recorded in several studios throughout New York.
This song is very beautiful and a song that encourages you to be yourself no matter what. We commend this band on this great feat of a song. They knocked it right out of the park and I can’t wait to sample more of their music
