See No Evil expands to deliver an eloquent and introspective flow from iHATEJON.

See No Evil was created in partnership with kleo, an Italian producer. iHATEJON, a North Carolina native, credits musicians like J Cole, Mac Miller, Dominic Fike, and Lil Peep as influences, but it’s evident that he’s forging his own path.

Hip-hop artist iHATEJON, who is only twenty-three years old, has a distinct style that is well reflected in his new single, “See No Evil.” With lyrics of grief and loss over an ultra-catchy melody, iHATEJON’s amazing flow and lyrics of heartbreak and loss make “See No Evil” a unique type of breakup song.

On “See No Evil,” a collaboration effort between iHATEJON and Italian producer kleo, iHATEJON’s lyricism shines through. The song encapsulates what it’s like to be in a toxic relationship: you’re aware that it’s bad and that the person has shattered your heart, but you still want to stay with them. Jon’s words jump from “she took my heart, and she abused it” to “but I didn’t mind that” in a matter of seconds; the never-ending cycle of toxic relationships is this going back and forth from being in love but knowing it’s a death wish.

The artist’s profound writing is rapped over a compelling tune, and the song’s addictive chorus ties everything together. Anyone will nod their heads to “See No Evil,” and by the conclusion of the song, they’ll be singing along with the chorus.

Not only is iHATEJON a gifted musician, but he also has a unique way of combining his influences to produce a unique sound. Inspired by musicians like Mac Miller and Lil Peep, iHATEJON brilliantly blends elements of emo-rap, hip-hop, and pop to create his unique style; not to mention that the chorus of “See No Evil” may allude to Nas’ 1999 hit “Small World.”

The University of South Carolina recent graduate hails from North Carolina. The young musician is irrepressible, releasing “See No Evil” just a few weeks after “U” and “iGOTME,” two of his most recent singles. It’s wonderful to watch all of the amazing music that iHATEJON will create in the future, especially because he’s so young.
