Terra’s music career has advanced significantly since the June 20, release of her maiden track. She has released five songs thus far, and on March 7, she released her debut album, “ALL I HAVE”, which consists of seven tracks altogether. Let’s talk more about it
“In My Dreams” is the album’s title track. The song opens with finger snap sounds and a very throbbing beat. This song illustrates a relationship that is rocky but the character feels like seeing her lover in her dreams is the best feeling ever(“So I can see you in my dreams”). Musically, this song is very groovy, the instrumentation is so exciting and Terra gives her very best performance on this track. Through this song, listeners are given a glimpse of how awesome this album is going to be
The second song is the namesake of the album “All I Have”. The song opens with a very thumping beat. In this song, the character gives her lover an ultimatum. (“Something must change I know, all I have is my”). She tells him that it’s either he lets her grow or he let’s go. The character in this song is very confident and brave. It is very rare to see women stepping into their power to leave people who stump her growth as a person. Musically, the song has a rousing and inspirational message and sound that will really thrill listeners
“Stick around” is the next song. The song opens with slow and steady electric guitar strums. The song paints a picture of a very loving and trusting relationship. The persona in the song talks about how he makes her feel safe to just fall back like in those trust fall exercises(“You’re my safety net when I’m walking the wire”). She assures him that she’s going to stick around because he’s the one for her. Musically, Terra gives another great vocal performance. The instrumentation and the back vocals give this song a final coat of excellence and perfection
Up next is “Party in the Sunshine”. The intro of the song is mid-tempo yet exciting. This song encourages listeners to let loose and be happy(“Take my hand”). The character in the song asks her lover to take her hand and let go and party in the sunshine. The musicality shows off Terra and male backing vocals putting a very nice touch on the song. The song has synth-pop elements to it. All in all, this song is a good time and listeners will love it
“Over and over again” is the next song on the record. The intro of this song is very upbeat and beautiful. The persona in this song is haunted by forbidden love (“I hate that I want you”). This song embodies the heart wants what the heart wants, especially when he tries to push it down. The song is a synth-pop song that features Terra’s falsetto vocals and shows off her amazing voice.
Up next is “Lights Down Low”. This song opens with dreamy guitar sounds. Ever spent time with someone you love? Time slows down, everything around you gets trapped in time and the only thing you see is that person. (“When we’re together we slow down time”). This song talks about those feelings. The character even suggests that they be intimate and that she will be waiting for him in the dim lights. Terra really tells this story with her vocal performance and the mouth percussion gives it this crisp and flawless vibe
The last song on the album is “safety net”. The song opens in an upbeat way. This song discusses taking risks and conquering fears(“If fear is a prison I can’t stay there anymore”). The song encourages listeners to throw caution to the wind and be bold and free. We thank Terra for this message to push ourselves to get to the best version of ourselves. You can tell the love that was put in this record. This debut album is only the beginning of big things in Terra’s career. She totally crushed this and I can’t wait to hear more music from her
