Greetings dearest gentle readers and music fans let’s welcome The Flying Beets to our blog. Beets. The band is led by Nathan Waller, a well-known singer/songwriter from Dallas, Texas, who is renowned for his forceful delivery and remarkable vocal range. Bassist David Cross and drummer Alexis Randolph complete the lineup. On 13th December, the band released a single called “Don’t Let Me Notice”. Let’s dive in
The intro of the song is an upbeat fusion of instruments that will gain your attention right away (“You won’t go away, don’t let me Beets. The band is led by Nathan Waller, a well-known singer/songwriter from Dallas, Texas, who is renowned for his forceful delivery and remarkable vocal range. Bassist David Cross and drummer Alexis Randolph complete the lineup.
The song talks about a character who has supposedly spent some time with his ex or maybe even a night together (“Don’t let me notice when you get up to leave”). He begs her not to let him see her when she’s going away, to avoid meeting his eye or even trying to make awkward small talk and tells her to please find her way out and maybe he might be less hurt by this interaction (“I might be alright”)
The vocal performance is just the best foot-tapping song I’ve ever heard about a broken relationship or interaction with your ex. This song is like “Okay we did this, let’s not make it awkward” instead of the character crying all over the place and the group did well to make a breakup so lighthearted
This song was incredibly entertaining, it’s a very upbeat song you can dance to and might make you even forget that you’re hurting over a relationship. This approach is new and exciting and they sound so great together even though they are fairly new. The world should look out for the band because they are here to stay!
