Viola Davis talks The Hunger Games

No Comments News

She talked about playing the villain in The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds & Snakes, how it took her four hours to get ready for the part, and why she enjoys playing the bad guy. She declared herself prepared to play the villain.

She added that she was drawn to the Hunger Games franchise after reading Suzanne Collins’ book and wanting to “see if I can be in this world. That’s the thing with actors, when you feel like can you do it, can you actually do it? That’s the thing that excites you because it scares you.”

The film depicts Coriolanus Snow as an 18-year-old, portrayed by Blyth, who is tasked with mentoring District 12 inhabitant Lucy Grey Baird, played by Rachel Zegler, in the tenth annual Hunger Games. The story takes place decades before Coriolanus Snow becomes the despotic president of Panem.
