Greetings dearest gentle reader and music fans let’s welcome US duo The Rhythm Junctions. The band is made up of Javiere Inniss who plays guitar, piano, a bit of drums, bass, and sings, and Jonesy B who plays drums, guitar, percussion, and does production. The band released a song called “You’ve Got to Move ‘N’ Groove” on the 11th of August. Let’s dive into the song’s details
The song opens with a very groovy drum and bass sound. Your immediate reaction to the opening of the song is tapping your feet just because of how upbeat it is
The song is about bringing people together in a conflict-ridden world and sticking up for what is right in it. (” Stand up, rise up”). Just like in dance movies, the duo encourages listeners to use dance to settle quarrels or disagreements (”dance, sing to the groove”). The message of the song is ambitious but with time it can be achieved because music is a barrier breaker no matter the language it is in or the country it’s from. The performance is very energetic and delightful
The song has elements of 80’s soft pop-rock songs. It is very inclusive in that the artists try to get the listeners hyped. They encourage listeners or crowds to repeat their mouth percussions and it is simply irresistible because soon enough you will be chanting with them too. The trumpet elements of the song give it a jazz vibe and to tell the truth, this song will be even more amazing if performed live!
The group meant what they said when they said “You’ve got to move ‘n’ groove”! The song is so charismatic that it’s like a persistent suitor begging to take you to the dance floor and like what most girls do is that they go to the dancefloor to get the dance over and done with and I promise you this, you will move and groove to the song, you can’t help it so I suggest you give into it. What a vibrant duo. They are the embodiment of pure fun and entertainment which can never be topped!
