Specializing in indigenous rap (Yoruba), Olamide rose to stardom with the release of his highly successful debut studio album, Raspodi, in 2011. He followed it up by dropping another great album titled YBNL, which is home to hit singles like Stupid Love, Voice Of The Street, and Ilefo Illuminati.
The talented artiste who raps in both Yoruba and English is the founder and owner of YBNL Records, which has produced other music stars like Lil Kesh, Fireboy DML, Adekunle Gold, Lyta, Limerick, Temmie Ovwasa, Chinko Ekun, Yomi Blaze, Picazo, Asake, and Viktoh.

Working with producers ID Cabasa, Samklef, Pheelz, and 2kriss, Olamide recorded and released his sophomore album, Yahoo Boy No Laptop (YBNL), in 2013. The project featured a collaboration with some of the industry’s most acceptable such as Dammy Krane, Kayswitch, Davido, Tiwa Savage, and Reminisce.
In like manner, Olamide dropped the third album the following year. The project titled Baddest Guy Ever Liveth was released in November 2013. The 13-track project had twelve of its tracks produced by Pheelz and had stars like Ice Prince, Pepenazi, Viktoh, Phyno, and Bez as guest artists.
The album, which won Best Album Of The Year at the 2014 Nigeria Entertainment Awards, is composed of top-charting singles such as Eleda Mi O, Yemi My Lover, Durosoke, and Turn Up. The album also clinched Best Rap Album and Album Of The Year at The Headies in 2014.
The follow-up album of Baddest Guy Ever Liveth was released on the 14th Of November 2014 titled Street OT, the music project, is Olamide‘s fourth studio album and has hit singles like Story For The Gods and Goons Mi on its tracklist. Young John, Pheelz, and B-Banks, a team of maverick sound producers, worked on its production.
On the 23rd Of November 2015, Olamide released his fifth studio album titled Eyan Mayweather, which comprises 21 tracks. There was no featured artiste on the project. Earlier that year, in April, he had dropped a collaborative project with Ibo rapper, Phyno titled 2 Kings. The album which is a joint project by Penthhauze Music and YBNL Records.
Teaming up with Pheelz, Phyno, Burna Boy, Davolee, Wande Coal, Olamide dropped his sixth studio album titled The Glory. Pheelz executed the production of the 16-track project, and the album was released on the 23rd Of December 2016.
Between 2020 and 2021, Olamide released a 9-track EP titled 999 and two albums – Carpie Diem and UY Scuti.
999 was released on the 10th Of February 2020, with no prior announcement to the public, making it a surprise project. At the same time, Carpie Diem was released on the 8th Of October 2020 and is composed of 12 tracks.
UY Scuti, which Olamide‘s son inspired, was released on the 18th Of June 2021. Olamide has made it known that he has another album coming up, which would be his last full-length project as an artist.
Yahoo Boy No Laptop (YBNL) Nation Label is a free record name established in 2012 by Olamide Adedeji. The name is slang alluding to little fellow bringing in cash with no illicit dealings.
