Greetings, our most cherished readers and music lovers worldwide! Let’s welcome back to our blog The Norwegian band Electric High.to Electric High. The members of Electric High, based in Bergen, Norway, are Tor Helge Opdahl on drums, Marius Mørch on guitar, PV Staff on vocals, Olav Iversen on vocals, and Einride Torvik on bass. My first experience with the band was when I listened to their hit single “Hear Me Out” and acclaimed myself as their fan especially after hearing “Colorful white lies”, their 13-song album. I was transformed after hearing it. On 24th January, they released a single called “Siren’s Lullaby”. Let’s talk more about it
A distinctive staccato guitar motif opens Siren’s Lullaby, and when the bass guitar and pounding drum rhythm accompany it, the tune becomes even more distinctive and listeners are mesmerized right there and then
Before we talk about the theme of the song, what does siren mean to you? Sirens are mythical creatures. They have been mentioned in several movies and books. Sirens distract people with their appearance and their voices or songs. They have been known to lead many sailors to their deaths and in the Odysseus movie, the captain of the ship noticed that he could resist them by blocking out their shrill/magical voices through the song, They describe a person whose lofty goals and well-thought-out plans are dashed in an instant by the mere attention of a random, attractive person walking by. (” Darling yeh blind my eyes, deceive my ears”). This person, however, does not sense a great loss when such lofty thoughts go; instead, they simply brush it off and move on to the next dream, which will probably end similarly. This person is extremely gullible especially when attractive women are nearby and people who know this might likely manipulate him to do their bidding
The song creates a tight, cramped atmosphere that might make you imagine a Cold Turkey-style session between John Lennon and Jack White. Unlike the thumping verse, the chorus opens up and gives us a quick breath of fresh air. This song makes use of Electric High’s unique attribute of having two lead singers. The two voices that alternate between unison vocals and harmonies give the verses a melancholic edge, which is lifted in the choruses.
Wow!, the band strikes again! They get bigger and better with every single project they release. As a Fan of their music, I can see clearly and I know that there is nothing that can stop them now. They are on a music climb and they will get to the top very soon but, don’t take my word for it, listen for yourself and you will know what I’m talking about. The band is very talented and I am eager to hear more of their music
