Hello everyone, new readers, old readers, and music lovers Let’s all welcome back German artist The Cumberland River Project back to our blog. The Cumberland River Project is an amazing band made up of songwriter Frank Renfordt. His song “On a Nashville Night” was an unforgettable music experience and he’s back but he didn’t come empty-handed. On 24th January, he released a song called “Liquor”. Let’s talk more about this song
The song opens with a carefully selected melody full of beautiful musical instruments that listeners will love
The narrative of a “complicated” relationship is told in the new song “Liquor Store.” The song paints a picture of this relationship in which the persona is missing his lover. He talks about how she treats him like a baby and doesn’t want to be left alone(“I feel lonely I feel blue”). This relationship sounds like a co-dependent relationship and in some ways a toxic one at that
Frank Renfordt wrote, produced, and sang it. Alessandro Maffei, an excellent Italian session guitarist, brilliantly encapsulates the song’s vibe. Dirk Schmidt, Frank’s buddy and bandmate, is an avid photographer as well, and he took the complementary cover image to round off the set.
Frank Redford is a German-born who resides in Nashville. Frank worked in the steel industry for a long time even though his true passion was music. He finally decided to chase his American dream and pursue music in 2020 and that’s how The Cumberland River Project was born. This artist has a truly inspiring story of never giving up on your dreams and continues to earn his place in the music industry with any song he makes. This song was no different and he really bodied it. The Cumberland River project is shooting for the stars and we are excited to go with him!
