No Comments Music

Greetings to all my music fans and my most cherished readers. Today we highlight the work of GuessPre (Gregory Stanton). Originally from La Crosse, the United States, Gregory Stanton is the creative force behind the album “Clarity.” This nine-song project was released on January 31. It demonstrates Gregory’s skill as a lyricist. All of the lyrics were written by Gregory under the pen name GuessPre. Let’s talk more about the record

The first track on the album is “I’m not Peter Pan, you are”. The song opens with a beautiful beat that will captivate you immediately. The rap performance is about making use of opportunities and how our deepest thoughts are those we get when we are in bed when we are granted. GuessPre gave a lovely rap and it complimented the beat perfectly it opens the album so well

“Aardvark” is the next song on the record. The song opens with a recording of a kid telling his dad something about a word he had come across. This song is about overcoming the urge to be outside and because he doesn’t like to go out, he admits that he’s losing opportunities and friends for that matter(“I feel like I’m losing friends”). The rap was smooth and flawless and it will delight you

Up next is the song “Night Shift”. This song opens with soft and gradual mouth percussion. The character in the song seemed to be telling someone else the reason he was working the night shift. The instrumentation on this song has a synth style in it and it is different and refreshing

“Winter Rain (Hang Around)” is the next song on this record. The song opens with nice and smooth piano and drum sounds. This song talks about the classic rags to riches story(“It’s hard to believe that I made it this far”). Like Thugnificent in the Boondocks series, our character has really turned his life around. The rap is crisp and clean and it is very captivating

The next song is the album’s namesake “Clarity”. The song’s intro is a recording of a man talking about consciousness and how it exists. This song in the opening gives J Cole and the rest of the song gives prime Drake. It was very nice to see the artist give listeners different types of rap, all in one song. This song really hits differently and listeners will agree with me

Next up is a song called “High Drama”. The song opens with gentle and operatic piano sounds mixed with synth mouth percussion. In the song, the character talks about how he and his lover will be shacked together in the summer. GuessPre giving an exciting performance and listeners will have a beautiful musical adventure

“Bittersweet” is the song that follows. The song’s intro is a recording of a woman who is complaining about a headache. The song’s intro is about heartbreak and its aftermath. The character tells listeners how this person was on his mind 24/7 but is now wishing death upon her. The performance really let listeners feel the heartbreak along with the artist which is highly enjoyable

“A Jedi song (take a mile)” is the title of the next song. The song’s intro has an upbeat intro. This song creates a very satisfying feeling as you listen to it as it describes how the character went out of his way to please his lovers. The artist went hard on this song and listeners will be blown away by it

The last song on the album is “earlie goodbye”. This song has yet another upbeat intro. The persona in the song talks about how his lover changed everything and helped him to turn his life around. This song shares a beautiful sentiment about love. Musically, listeners will enjoy the beat, the lyrics, and the flow. This song closes the album fabulously

This album has Grimrose who mixed and Lia Kahn mastered the album, and local producers worked with Grimrose to give depth to the instrumentation. The songs brilliantly capture Gregory’s path to recovery and personal development, giving listeners an intimate look at his setbacks and victories. GuessPre is a superstar and I can’t wait to hear more of his music
