Love you Julius,” Viola Davis wrote on Instagram, posting a photo with husband Julius Tennon for their 18th wedding anniversary
The Oscar winner, 55, posted a picture of herself cuddling with Tennon, 67, in the backseat of a vintage convertible to Instagram on Wednesday to wish her spouse a happy anniversary. “Happy 18th Anniversary, my life’s love!” Julius, I love you,” Davis said in the post.
In June 2003, she wed the actor from Dazed and Confused, and in 2011, they adopted their daughter Genesis, now 10 years old. Additionally, Davis is the stepmother of Tennon’s two previous children.
At the Screen Actors Guild Awards in April, Davis virtually appeared with her husband; she kissed him before winning a prize for her work in Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom. For Valentine’s Day, she also shared a special family portrait with her husband and daughter. Oh, my heart! I live for THIS,” she added in the post. “It gives my life purpose, and I will always be appreciative that they have touched it. I will always love you, G and J. Happy Valentine’s Day, everyone.
In 2016, the How to Get Away with Murder star shared with PEOPLE her secrets to a happy marriage. She noted at the time, “It’s about the ordinary. “I think that, that’s what people forget when they fall in love with someone and it’s exciting.” “You have to get back to the everyday – the taking the garbage out, the cooking, the cleaning – and it’s something that I think really works with me and my husband,” Davis stated. “Every day is like a date.”
She most recently revealed a glimpse of her and Tennon’s morning routine, which involves taking a bath together. Davis remarked on PEOPLE (The Show!) in December, “We have together time every single morning when we get in the jacuzzi, and we have together time every night because we get in the tub together. “And as we converse and bathe in the tub. His mouth is occasionally open as he sleeps. Davis enjoys spoiling her 18-year-old hubby as well. “I give him facials,” she affirmed. He’s simply extremely lovely, and we just chat, chat, chat. Every day, we carry out that.
