MICHELLAR OWNS THE DANCEFLOOR WITH ‘CROSSED’, FEATURING LILLIAN

Welcome back to the fold, everyone. If you’ve been following the blog for a while, you know I’ve been low-key obsessed with Michellar. From the gritty vibes of ‘He’s a Killer’ to the soulful ‘Truth Over Lies’ with Frankie El, her discography is basically the soundtrack to my life right now. She’s the definition of ‘your favorite artist’s favorite artist.’ Well, the wait for more is over. Michellar just dropped a brand new single called ‘Crossed’ (released Dec 19th), which features artist Lilian and it’s every bit as haunting as you’d expect. Let’s get into it.”

The track kicks off with this massive burst of high-energy production that immediately grabs you by the throat. But then? The synths bleed into these gorgeous, shimmering pop textures, and Michellar’s vocals glide right over the top. When I say I was sitting, I mean I didn’t move an inch. You won’t either.

Every great song starts with a spark, and for “Crossed,” that spark was pure frustration. Michellar got real with us about the track’s origin, admitting it actually stems from a heated clash over a project. Interestingly, it started as a slow burn. But as the intensity of that encounter bubbled up, she flipped the script—transforming that raw anger into a high-energy dance anthem. As she puts it, music is an “endless highway of possibilities.” It’s all about changing the perspective until the art hits just right.

The making of ‘Crossed’ is a literal flex for the digital age. We’re talking a global collab that stretched from San Francisco to Ukraine and Romania, proving that distance means nothing when the chemistry is right. As her final drop of 2025, ‘Crossed’ isn’t just a song—it’s an invitation to dance your way into a new chapter. Michellar is ending the year on a high, setting the stage for a fresh perspective and a renewed attitude. Every note feels like it’s been set ablaze by her determination. If this is how she’s closing out the year, I’m terrified (and excited) for what she has planned next.

Honestly? Michellar has blown me away yet again. Whether she’s vibing with artists like Lillian or Frankie El, she’s proven she’s a collaborative powerhouse who knows exactly how to bring out the best in a track. But more than that, it’s her consistency. She’s out here making meaningful music with themes that aren’t just ‘for right now’—they’re going to age gracefully and stand the test of time. It is always a privilege to dive into her world, and frankly, I’m on the edge of my seat, pleading for the next drop. Michellar, if you’re reading this: Give us more!
