The singer expressed her wish for “peace” as she celebrated her 39th birthday on Wednesday. During the Los Angeles tryouts for American Idol, Perry said to Entertainment Tonight, “I’ve got everything, I’m so blessed,” as her colleague judge Luke Bryan gave her a cake. “I know what I’m hoping for, peace,” she continued, blowing out her candles.

According to ET, Perry was not only able to celebrate with her loved ones but was also surprised with a carnival-themed party by Bryan, their colleague American Idol judge Lionel Richie, and host Ryan Seacrest. Celebrity pals, such as Kim Kardashian, Lauren Sanchez, and Paris Hilton, also showered her with birthday greetings. They shared a heartfelt remembrance of her along with a carousel of images and videos of the two of them.
