The EP is a continuation of her 2018 song “Girls Need Love.” The song, which had its initial remix done by Drake, spent a total of 20 weeks at No. 37 on the Billboard Hot 100 all-genre chart and No. 16 on the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart. Three different versions of the song, featuring Victoria Monét, Tyla, and Tink, are included in Girls Need Love (Girls Mix). The EP will also contain the song’s original solo version as well as an acoustic rendition that was made public on Monday.
